Abstract

Waste gases laden with SO2 and similar harmful materials are purified with a wet electrofilter in which the liquor is circulated and lime water is used which is enriched with Cl ions to the level necessary foir destruction of carbonates and incrustations. The wet electrofilter pref. is preceded by a dry pre-separator (pref. an electro-filter). The excess Cl ions, pref. HCl, and lime suspension pref. are injected into the liquor cycle. Incrustations, carbonate formation and corrosion are prevented, so that the electro-filter remains active.

Description

Description and explanation of the patent application Process for washing out of flue gases by means of electrostatic precipitators that are contaminated with S02 or similar pollutants "The washing out of S02 e.g. behind power plants and the washing out of S02 and similar flue gas escorts behind waste incineration plants will be used exclusively preferably carried out according to the Venturi system via wet washing processes.

The cleaning of SO2 polluted exhaust gases by wet electrostatic filters has not proven itself, since 1) with pure water washing the corrosion is very strong and the washout effect is not sufficiently high.

2) Das Auswaschen mit Kalkmilch mußte aufgegeben werden, da Inkrustierungen und Karbonatbildungen die Aktivität des Elektrofilters nach kurzer Einsatzdauer so stark beeinträchtigten, daß eine sinnvolle Reinigung nicht mehr gewährleistet war.2) Washing with milk of lime had to be given up because of incrustations and carbonate formation, the activity of the electrostatic precipitator after a short period of use so badly impaired that meaningful cleaning is no longer guaranteed was.

In order to eliminate all these disadvantages, it is proposed according to the invention that to choose a gas scrubbing process that is operated with an electrostatic precipitator, preferably in two-stage construction, with the first separator stage the Dust is separated dry, and in the second separator stage is the gas passed through a wet electrostatic precipitator with lime water and chlorine ion inoculation is rinsed and sprayed for washing.

In practice, according to the invention, it can be handled in such a way that one Lime water is so enriched with HCl ions that sarbonate formations and incrustations in the electrostatic precipitator are avoided and thereby the electrostatic precipitator remains active.

The two-stage cleaning according to the invention a) dry phase and b) Wet phase with lime water and chlorine ion inoculation for the purpose of destructive carbonate and Incrustation is a guarantee that the dry dust is not always clearly defined residues, the gas scrubbing according to the method according to the invention does not affect negatively in the liquid phase.

Of course, the invention is not limited to the above in detail Represented and described forms of illustration are limited, but there are numerous Changes possible without deviating from the basic idea, an exhaust gas scrubbing To operate so that the first phase takes over a dry separator system, preferably Electrostatic precipitator, and the second phase through a wet electrostatic precipitator is set for cleaning, this wet electrostatic precipitator with Ralkwasser and Washes fluids inoculated with chlorine ions, e.g. HCl vaccination in a circulatory process, so that incrustations, carbonate formation and corrosion are avoided.
