The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for avoiding melting of yarn, which in a high-teroperature yarn texturing nozzle like her for example, in U.S. Patent 3,409,956 "is stopped will.
Jede Verfahrensunterbrechung, welche ein Anhalten des Garnes in der Düse bedingt, kann einKnown people with ITuiden high temperatures, such as steam, powered texturing nozzles, such as the nozzle mentioned above, are currently used, a continuous, Texturing and bulking a continuous length of synthetic or nylon yarn so that it is tufted or woven into carpets can be. The known nozzles use superheated steam, the temperature of which is above the melting point of the yarn lies. When the yarn is in motion, there is insufficient heat transfer to the yarn to melt it. It however, the proceedings may be interrupted for a variety of reasons. Any interruption of proceedings, which causes the yarn to stop in the nozzle, a

Cause the thread to melt in the nozzle. The nozzle must then removed and cleaned to remove the molten polymer with a solvent or other means. The melted yarn causes prolonged failure of a portion of the continuous yarn texturing process and additional costs for cleaning the nozzle.
The invention relates to a device which is connected to a texturing nozzle operated at high temperatures, such as the nozzle described in the aforementioned US Pat. No. 3,409,956, is connected. The device delivers a jet of high pressure fluid, e.g. air, to circulate the high temperature fluid, e.g., steam, out of the texturing nozzle device. The inventive method for avoiding the Melting of yarn when it is stopped in a high temperature yarn texturing nozzle in which a high temperature fluid, e.g. steam, flowing across a yarn inlet opening, provides that the stopping of the yarn with a Sensor scanned and a valve in a high pressure fluid line is actuated, which with an opening opposite the yarn inlet in the texturing nozzle device in Is in communication, and that the high temperature fluid flowing across the yarn inlet with a jet of high pressure fluid, e.g. air, is diverted so that the high temperature fluid, e.g., steam, is discharged from the texturing jet device through the yarn inlet. Part of the under high temperature Stagnant fluid (water vapor) can continue to flow across the yarn slot, but it is caused by the high pressure fluid (Air) diluted and cooled. This causes all of the elements in the texturing nozzle device to be downstream from the yarn inlet, as in U.S. Patent 3,409,956 referenced above shown when stopping the yarn no longer from the high Al 61 - 2 -

The preferred high pressure fluid is air, the preferred High temperature texturing fluid is water vapor. The drawing shows a section of the invention Device which is attached to the corresponding point opposite the yarn inlet of a yarn texturing nozzle device is.
The drawing shows the device according to the invention, which at the corresponding point opposite the yarn inlet slot in a yarn texturing device (e.g. according to U.S. Patent 3,409,956) is attached. The apparatus of this patent is modified in that the yarn inlet tube omitted and only one yarn inlet slot 7 was provided. The device according to the invention is mounted so that an opening 4 lies directly opposite the yarn inlet slot 7 on a line which essentially the flow of the cuts through fluids at high temperatures. A sensor 1, e.g. a feeler arm, as shown in the U.S. Patent No. 3,438,188 senses the stop of the yarn and operates a valve 2 in the high pressure fluid line 3, whereby a jet of high pressure fluid, e.g. air, through the opening 4 is directed to the under high Temperatures of standing fluid (steam) emerging from a steam inlet pipe 5 flows across the yarn slot 7, to be thinned and through the yarn inlet slot 7 as a steam / air mixture instead of directing it downstream into the work or

To conduct heat pipe 6. As a result, in the working tube 6 or yarn trapped in other elements (not shown) downstream of the yarn slot 7 heated more so that after stopping it will cool down rather than melt.
At A, for example, air occurs and at B, for example Water vapor. At C, for example, a water vapor / air mixture emerges.
Extensive experiments with the device according to the invention using a texturing nozzle similar to the one given above Nozzle according to US Pat. No. 3,409,956, but without the yarn inlet tube and only with a yarn inlet slot which is shown in 7 in the drawing have shown that, in comparison with the known device, the rate of replacement of the nozzles caused by molten yarn in the nozzle when stopped was reduced from $ 15 to $ 3 could be.
