The invention is based on the object of creating a track of the type mentioned, which is made of metal, in particular sheet metal, using customary metalworking methods and in this respect as simply and quickly as possible and can be manufactured cheaply.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that the links of the chain are preferably roughly rectangular, disk-like elements, preferably made of metal, exist that these approximately T-shaped tabs on one another have opposite sides, that the elements are folded in such a way that the flaps and preferably the opposite sides lie against each other, and that the tabs engage in a hinge-like manner in the next link.

A crawler belt (see lig, 1 and 2) consists of several Links 2 which are rotatably connected to one another that the hinge axes run transversely to the longitudinal axis of the chain.

Each link comes from a flat metal element 3 (see FIG. 3), which consists of a substantially rectangular Main part 4 with two beveled corners 5 consists.
