Dampfbrennerlampe für Petroleumglühlicht Patentiert im Deutschen Reiche vom 23. März 1910 ab.Steam burner lamp for petroleum incandescent light. Patented in the German Empire on March 23, 1910.
When forming the subject of the invention The device is better known per se in the case of steam burner lamps due to a suitable connection Individual devices achieved that the evaporator heating and, as a result, the Light intensity is automatically at the same height
For this purpose are at a Lamp of the known type, in which the fuel according to the laws of communicating Tubes after the carburetor flows, in a manner also known per se, the mixing and burner tube so installed in the lamp ness or the lamp glass, - that the inlet of the mixing and burner tube outside the combustion chamber and the Essenschachtes and an access for
Diese Ausführungsform ist Gegenstand des älteren Patents 230353. so the outside air forms to the forge while all other air inlets in the combustion chamber or food chute as closed as possible are. As a result, it is known that almost all of it goes into the combustion chamber arriving combustion air flow in through the mixing tube and here must mix with the fuel vapor, which the The lighting effect of the burner is very beneficial. The first device is also on usual arrangement connected that from the mixing and burner tube a pipe is branched off, which has an auxiliary burner serving to heat the evaporator Gas-air mixture supplied. The lamp hood is preferably replaced by a suitable, airtight. subsequent chamber continued downwards, in which the evaporator and the mouth of the auxiliary burner are housed. This chamber is also on the outside as closed as possible (except for an opening that supplies the auxiliary burner with air). Through the combination described, it is achieved that with increasing evaporator and Flame heat the suction of the lamp ness onto the mixing tube at the main burner mouth increases, or at least increases more strongly than that exerted on the auxiliary burner mouth Suction. The gas / air mixture entering the mixing tube therefore becomes less Part of the flow to the auxiliary burner than before, so that the evaporator is less heated and the development of steam is reduced and thus the main flame is also reduced. If the reduction goes further than desired, the essence continues back accordingly, and the auxiliary flame and the development of steam increase again. However, that embodiment is the subject of the invention Overall arrangement shown excluded, in which the upper end of the evaporator so up to in the vicinity of the main flame it is sufficient that it is touched or radiated from it is heated. This embodiment is the subject of earlier patent 230353.
In the drawing, an embodiment of such a lamp is shown in section.
The petroleum is poured into the container 1 through a closable opening 15. However, the stopper has a small opening to allow the connection of the container
Nachdem der Spiritus immaintain inside with the atmospheric air. The container is connected to the evaporator tube 3 through lines 2. The inlet opening can be opened to a greater or lesser extent by an adjustable valve 12 in order to be able to adjust the inflow of petroleum to the evaporator tube 3 precisely. The evaporator tube 3 is enclosed by a tube 13, which is closed at the bottom, except for a relatively small opening 14 which is used to feed the auxiliary flame with air. The evaporator tube is led above the level of the petroleum in the container 1 and then bent downwards . This branch pipe 4 ends in the nozzle 5. The steam outlet at the upper end of the pipe 3 is thus higher than the petroleum level in the container 1, so that liquid petroleum can never get into the pipe 4. Opposite the nozzle opening 5 opens one leg of a Y-pipe 6, at the apex of which the pipe connects to the burner. The second leg of the Y-pipe 6 opens into the chamber formed by the pipe 13 near the lower end of the evaporator pipe. The opening of this leg of the Y-pipe 6 is taken up by a sieve 16. In a known manner, this sieve prevents the flame from flashing back into the mixing chamber in the pipe 6. Finally, the cylinder or the exhaust pipe 9 is placed on the upper mouth of the pipe 13, in which even smaller air openings can be made. The upper opening of the tube 6 is closed in a known manner by a burner screen 10.
The effect of this lamp is as follows:
First, some spirit is poured into the lower part of the tube 13 and then the valve 12 is opened as required so that petroleum can enter the evaporator tube 3 from the container 1 through the tubes 2. After the alcohol in the
Tube 13 has been ignited, the evaporates Petroleum in the pipe 3 and flows through the branch line 4 to the nozzle 5 and outside this in the pipe 6. Already the heating gases from the spirit in the chamber 13, still but the exhaust gases of the combustion flame heating the mantle produce more by rise through the cylinder 9, a pulling effect within the cylinder, which too in the pipe 6 above the nozzle 5 becomes noticeable. So it will be the effect of the Nozzle, which is known to feed some of the air required for combustion into the mixing tube conveyed in, supported by the suction in the cylinder 9 and thereby a larger amount of air into the inlet of the "Y-pipe" located outside the pipe 13 sucked in by the suction of air through the opening 14 is very limited is. By introducing as much of the combustion air as possible into the mixing tube As is well known, the lighting effect of the incandescent lamp is greatly improved. In the direction of the arrow 7, this mixture reaches the burner 10, in which the gas is through the rising flame from 13 ignited. The flame just mentioned at the bottom of the chamber 13 supports the suction within the chamber 13. This suction causes that part of the gas mixture generated from the direction of arrow 7 after Burner 10 in the direction of arrow 8 through the downward leg of the Y-pipe 6 is withdrawn after the burner 16 in the chamber 13. Ignited here this gas mixture and then takes over the heating of the evaporator 3, after the spirit has burned out at the bottom of chamber 13. This is how it is Burning of the lamp ensured as long as petroleum from the container 1 through the valve 12 after the evaporator 3 flows. As already mentioned in the introduction, made possible this arrangement of the Y-pipe for the simultaneous supply of both burners a certain amount Self-regulation of the light intensity. It is clear that as the temperature in the Carburetor 3, the heating effect of the Bunsen mixture in the light burner 10 is also increased will be. The draft in the forge 9 is increased with the heat. However, this train acts more strongly on the burner 10 than on Burner 16, which the opening 14, through which the cold air flows in, is opposite. This uneven distribution of the tensile effects causes a disturbance in the gas flow at the culmination points of the Y-pipe 6 in such a way that in the direction of the Arrow 7 a larger amount of gas will flow off than under normal conditions in Direction of arrow 8. The result is a reduction in the size of the flame on the auxiliary burner 16 and a reduction in gas development, which naturally results in a weakening must follow the development of heat and the train. With the alternation of suction In the forge 9 there is also a change in the gas distribution in the Y-pipe.
1 H5 Closing the valve 12 immediately extinguishes the flame on the burner 16. 1 H 5
