Patentiert im Deutschen Reiche vom 7. April 1910 ab.Patented in the German Empire on April 7, 1910.
Reaktionsflächen herbeigeführt und mithin eine bessere AusnutzungThe present invention has a structure of prismatic filler blocks of triangular shape Cross-section to the object, through which in regenerators an enlargement of the image serving the heat and releasing it to the air to be preheated surface and brought about an enlargement of the sprinkling or reaction areas in reaction towers and therefore better utilization

berühren.ίο the performance of the device is enabled. On the other hand, a larger support surface should be created for the prism strands or for their individual filler stones than on the ridge-like, sharp apex edges of the transversely placed stones extending below them, since otherwise the stones of the prism strings can easily break and the structure collapse can.
To achieve this purpose, the structure is made in such a way that the individual prisms embedded between the continuous prism strands with their base or apex edge in relation to their base or apex edge are directed opposite to that of the prism strands and are suspended from the latter in such a way that they only touch their apex edges with their base edges.
In this way, the prism strands do not only rest on the apex edges of the next lower strands, but also on the base of the individual prisms, so that the pismatic strands have a reliable support surface. Since the prisms also do not have any Have pegs or projections that would otherwise be exposed to the action of high temperature break easily, a disturbance in the
triebe, die bei bekannten gleichartigen Einrichtungen durch Brechen der Steine oder Vorsprünge veranlaßt werden, im vorliegenden Falle nicht auftreten.drives that are known to be of the same type caused by breaking the stones or projections, do not occur in the present case.
Der Erfindungsgegenstand ist inThe subject of the invention is in
Ι in its application in a structure for regenerators and in
Fig. 2 illustrates one such for reaction towers in a view with partial section.
The prisms, which are attached to one another with the end faces in continuous rows or strands and which are preferably obtained in the form of an ogival cross-section for regenerators for the purpose of enlarging the radiating surface (FIG. 1), are denoted by α. The different rows of prisms a lying one above the other are stacked at right angles to one another or crosswise on one another. The prisms b are stored between every two prism strands α. These are directed opposite to the prisms α , that is, their base or base lies on top, while their apex edge, which is flattened in the embodiment shown in FIG. 1 (at c), lies below. The two side surfaces d of the prisms b are expediently concave in view of the ogival shape of the prisms α. The incorporation of the prisms b between the prism strands A is carried out in such a manner that the former is only with their base edges e at the apex edges of the adjacent prism strands f placed and are only f supported solely at these edges, wherein the upper-base of the prisms b the enlarged onlay -
Another advantage of the structure described above is that a large space utilization is brought about by producing a heat exchange surface that is 100 percent larger than the usual prism structure.
The assembly arrangement shown in Fig. 2, which can preferably be used for reaction towers and the like, differs from the present only in that the side surfaces of the prisms b collide at the bottom at an acute angle for the purpose of better liquid distribution and the prisms with due consideration Weight reduction are hollow.
