Description
It is known (US-PS 26 09 766) in rail vehicles with gas turbine drive and upwardly directed exhaust shaft above the outlet of the exhaust silencer and firmly connected to this, to provide an exhaust hood for exhaust gases from the gas turbine to reject directed. The known arrangement has the disadvantage that moving parts from the exhaust shaft Project above the roof area of the vehicle and relative movements of the exhaust silencer occur in the roof area. There must be a corresponding gap between the exhaust silencer and the roof skin therefore be provided. To prevent rainwater and dust from entering the vehicle interior, has it turned out to be necessary, the one located between the exhaust silencer outlet and the roof skin Seal the gap with lip seals. Such seals turn out after a short time Operating time as not reliable. Attempts have also been made to get one in a rail vehicle built-in internal combustion engine to connect the exhaust hood firmly to the roof cutout. In the for Roof cut-out of the internal combustion engine exhaust pipe, the silencer was installed, the upper end of which was flush with the upper edge of the exhaust hood. The diameter of the top Exhaust silencer outlet was dimensioned smaller than the diameter of the exhaust hood, since the occurring Relative movements of the internal combustion engine exhaust pipe with respect to the roof skin are taken into account had to become. By the existing between the exhaust silencer outlet and the exhaust hood Annular gap could get rainwater into the vehicle interior. The sealing of this annular gap by means of known lip seals proved to be prone to failure after a short period of operation.
Der Arbeitsaufwand für die Demontage und Montage des Abgasschalldämpfers undThe renewal of the aforementioned lip seal continued when it was firmly connected to the roof area Exhaust hood and in this built-in exhaust silencer dismantling of the exhaust silencer Internal combustion engine ahead. The work involved in dismantling and assembling the exhaust silencer and
der Lippendichtung war bisher erheblich.the lip seal has been significant so far.
Die der Erfindung zugrunde liegende Aufgabe besteht darin, die eingangs angegebene Anordnung eines Abgasschachtes derart auszubilden, daß bewegliehe Teile aus dem Dachbereich nicht herausragen und daß die Montage der Abgashutze bei Gewährleistung einer ausreichenden Abdichtung gegen eindringendes Regenwasser und Staub mühelos durchführbar ist wobei der Aufwand an Arbeitszeit bei bequemerThe object on which the invention is based is to provide the arrangement specified at the beginning an exhaust duct in such a way that movable Parts of the roof area do not protrude and that the assembly of the exhaust hood is guaranteed a sufficient seal against ingress of rainwater and dust can be carried out effortlessly taking the amount of work time at more convenient
ι ο Zungänglichkeit wesentlich verkürzbar sein solLι ο Accessibility should be significantly shortened
Dies wird erfindungsgemäß dadurch erreicht daß die Abgashutze mit dem Fahrzeugdach zu einer Einheit fest jedoch lösbar verbunden und die aus dem Fahrzeugdach und der Abgashutze bestehende Einheit auf denThis is achieved according to the invention in that the exhaust hood is fixed to the vehicle roof to form a unit but releasably connected and the unit consisting of the vehicle roof and the exhaust hood on the
After removing the exhaust hood, they are not closer described parts for deflecting the exhaust gas flow, such as linkage and exhaust flap, easy for maintenance accessible, with the previously known muffler attachments complicated rain sealing of the vehicle roof compared to the exhaust hood is omitted
An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing and described below.
