Abstract

The lightweight cardboard composite building plates can be used for load bearing outside walls and for partition walls. The dimensions of the plates are such that they can be used as unit plates for building up a modular structure. The composite plate has overlapping features for joining purposes, on at least two circumferential edges. Pressure distribution timber strips are adhesive bonded on the edges of this plate on joining to adjacent plates. These plates are produced by relatively simple means by joining preformed corrugated panels to plain plates in a fixture. The corrugations can be of U-cross section or alternatively have a cut-off V-configuration etc.
