Diese Anordnung ist in der handhabung umständlich und platzaufwendig, das das Gehäuse, will man dessen Innenraum z. B. zum Ausführen von Wartungsarbeiten zugänglich machen, vollständig abgenommen und auf dem Fußboden oder an einem anderen, abseits liegenden Ort abgestellt werden muß. Dieser Nachteil ist vor allem in Badezimmern von Bedeutung, in denen in der Regel sehr beengte Verhältnisse herrschen. Das abgenommene Gehäuse muß in den meisten Fällen in ein anderes Zimmer getragen und dort abgestellt werden. Das bekannte Abdeckgehäuse ist überdies wegen seiner oberen offenen Ausbildung wenig geeignet für Wasserspeichererhitzer, bei denen das Wasser ständig auf Temperatur gehalten wird, so daß eine möglichst gute Wärmeisolation vorhanden sein sollte.
