Description

Es sind bereits Datenverarbeitungsanlagen bekannt, bei denen Aufgaben unterschiedlichen Vorranges mit Hilfe von Programmen abgewickeit werden (s. z. B. DT-OS 22 16 553). Es ergibt sich dabei, daß bei der Durchführung dieser Aufgaben Unterbrechungen erforderüch sind, um jeweils den Vorrang der anstehenden Programme berücksichtigen zu können. Beispiele für nierfür erforderliche Einrichtungen sind ebenfalls bekannt. Aufgaben und zugehörige Programme mit unterschiedlichem Vorrang fallen insbesondere in Datenverarbeitungsanlagen an, die zu Vermittlungsanlagen, wie Fernsprechvermittlungsanlagen gehören (s. Commutation et Electronique, April 1964, S. 7 bis 36; I E E Switching Techniques for Telecomunication Networks, 1969, S. 116 bis 117). Es sind auch ,₅ verschiedene Hilfsmittel bekannt, um den Vorrang von abzuwickelnden Programmen in zweckmäßiger Weise zu berücksichtigen. Dazu gehören Vorrangsteuereinrichtungen (s. DT-OS 14 49 568; DT-AS 12 69 394, 12 02 034). Die unterschiedliche Priorität von Programmen kann auch mit Hilfe von Organisationsprogrammen berücksichtigt werden (s. Es ist nun darüber hinaus auch bekannt, daß Vorränge in Datenverarbeitungsanlagen wechseln können. Ein derartiger Wechsel kann den Vorrang von Einrichtungen in Datenverarbeitungsanlagen betreffen (s. DT-OS 19 44 483, S. 4,18,19). Der Wechsel kann aber auch den Vorrang von Programmen betreffen (s. DT-OS 1449 532, insbesondere S. 13, 14, 19, 20). Der Wechsel des Vorranges kann hier von der Zeit, von äußeren Ereignissen, von der Abwicklung anderer Programme und von weiteren Bedingungen abhängig sein. Es ist auch im einzelnen bekannt, wie bei der Abwicklung zweier Programme, nämlich eines Anwendungsprogramms und eines dieses Anwendungsprogramm prüfenden Ablaufverfolgungsprogramms ein ständiger Wechsel des Vorranges dieser Programme ausgenutzt wird und durch zu dem Ablaufverfolgungsprogramm ^₀ gehörende Programmbefehle zustande gebracht wird (s. Die Erfindung geht nun von einem Verfahren zur Abwicklung von Programmen mit unterschiedlichem und wechselndem Vorrang in einer Datenverarbeitungsanlage aus, bei dem in Abhängigkeit von der Menge der weiterzuverarbeitenden Information, die zwischenzeitlich gespeichert ist, der Vorrang der Weitergabe der Information zur Vermeidung des Überlaufens des Speichers um so höher festgelegt wird, je mehr Information bereits zwischenzeitlich gespeichert ist. Der Erfindung liegt dabei die Aufgabe zugrunde, die durch die Abwicklung von Programmen anfallenden Aufträge zur Abwicklung von weiteren Programmen, die einen mittleren Vorrang haben, derart zu behandeln, daß damit sie in angemessener Weise berücksichtigt werden. Dieses obengenannte Verfahren ist erfindungsgemäß dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Speicherung der durch die Abwicklung von Programmen anfallende Aufträge zur Abwicklung von weiteren ^₀ Programmen, die einen mittleren Vorrang haben, in einer Sonderauftragsliste vorgenommen wird, daß der Füllgrad dieser Sonderauftragsliste dadurch begrenzt wird, daß mit Erreichen eines Grenzfüllgrades /'den die Sonderauftragsliste beauftragter. Die Erfindung unterscheidet sich vor den bekannten Maßnahmen für den Wechsel von Vorrängen von Programmen zunächst dadurch, daß sie eine andere Aufgabe als die bekannten Maßnahmen löst. Von den bekannten Maßnahmen werden nämlich nicht bei der Abwicklung von Programmen anfallende Aufträge zur Abwicklung von weiteren Programmen betroffen. Darüber hinaus unterscheidet sie sich von den fraglichen bekannten Maßnahmen dadurch, daß sie für die zu ihr gehörende Aufgabe auch andere Mittel benutzt, nämlich die erwähnte Sonderauftragsliste und die Begrenzung des Füllgrades dieser Sonderauftragsliste bei einem Grenzfüllgrad, durch den verhindert wird, daß ein Überlaufen der Sonderauftragsliste eintritt, wodurch anfallende Aufträge zur Abwicklung von weiteren Programmen nicht mehr erfaßt werden könnten. Durch die Erfindung wird daher vorteilhafterweise vermieden, daß beim Anfallen der fraglichen Aufträge unterschiedlich zu verfahren ist, nämlich in der einen Weise, wenn die Sonderauftragsliste noch nicht voll ist, und in einer anderen Weise, wenn die Sonderauftragsliste bereits voll ist, damit auch in diesem Fall die anfallenden Aufträge noch erfaßt werden können. Der Entwickler von Anwenderprogrammen braucht daher keine Rücksicht darauf zu nehmen, ob der Fall eintreten kann, daß die Sonderauftragliste voll ist. Er braucht daher auch in den betreffenden Programmen hierfür keine besonderen Programmroutinen vorsehen. Außerdem wird durch die erfindungsgemäße Technik auch zwangläufig sichergestellt, daß von der Datenverarbeitungsanlage begonnene Aufgaben stets zu Ende geführt werden können, und zwar auch wenn bei der Abwicklung von dazugehörenden Programmen Aufträge zur Abwicklung von weiteren Programmen anfallen. Dies ist auch der Fall, wenn diese weiteren Programme ihrerseits ebenfalls Aufträge zur Abwicklung von noch weiteren Programmen ergeben usw. Die Berücksichtigung des Vorranges von Programmen führt daher keinesfalls dazu, daß begonnene Aufgaben abgebrochen werden müssen, ohne daß das gesuchte Ergebnis erzielt wird. All dies ist besonders wichtig, wenn es sich um eine Echt-Zeit-Datenverarbeitungsanlage handelt, da dort durch die Erfindung eine ergebnislose Belastung vermieden wird, wodurch sich ein Zeitzwang durch von außen eingegebene Aufgaben nur in störender Weise vergrößern würde. Wenn es sich bei einer derartigen Echt-Zeit-Datenverarbeitiingsanlage um eine Anlage handelt, die zu einer Vermittlungsanlage gehört, wird durch die Anwendung der Erfindung vorteilhafterweise die Gefahr, daß Verbindungsanforderungen zu Verlust gehen, wesentlich verringert.The invention differs from the known measures for changing precedence from Programs initially by solving a different task than the known measures. Die für die Programmaufträge der Sonderauftragsliste SAL gehörenden Programme haben hier mittleren Vorrang, d. h. niedrigeren Vorrang als die durch die Auftragsliste ZGA beauftragten Programme und höheren Vorrang als die durch die Auftragsliste EL beauftragten Programme. Bei der Abwicklung von Programmen, die durch die Auftragslisten SAL und ZGA beauftragt sind, anfallende Programmaufträge zur Abwicklung von weiteren Programmen werden in der Sonderauftragsliste SAL gespeichert. Ist bei der Sonderauftragsliste SAL der Grenzfüllgrad /"erreicht, so hat dies zur Folge, daß von da ab Programmaufträge der Auftragsliste ZGA nicht mehr berücksichtigt werden, bis die jeweils in der Sonderauftragsliste SAL enthaltenen Programmaufträge erledigt sind. Die zugehörigen Programme haben also von da ab den höchsten Vorrang normaler Programme. Wie bereits angegeben, wird zweckmäßigerweise ein Grenzfüllgrad /"vorgesehen, der dadurch bestimmt ist, wieviel weitere Programmaufträge jeweils bei der Erledigung eines der Sonderauftragsliste SAL enthaltenen Programmauftrages höchstens anfallen. Es hat sich gezeigt daß damit zu rechnen ist daß z. B. etwa jeweils höchstens zwei weitere Programmaufträge anfallen. In diesem Falle ist der Grenzfüllgrad /"=1:2 festzulegen. Dies bedeutet daß der Grenzfüllgrad erreicht ist wenn in der Sonderauftragsliste SAL mit einem Fassungsvermögen von z.
