Bei dem Hauptpatent 185801 entspricht einer Bewegung des Drosselhebels von »zu« nach »offen« die Veränderung der Füllung von einem Minimum zu einem Maximum und bei dem Zusatzpatent 219244 umgekehrt von einem Maximum zu einem Minimum. Fig. 1 der Zeichnung zeigt Dampfdiagramme einer Maschine, bei welcher das Aufmachen des Drosselorgans einer Vergrößerung der Füllung entspricht, während bei Fig. 2 das Aufmachen des Drosselorgans mit einer Verkleinerung der Füllung verbunden ist. Bei der praktischen Durchführung dieser Konstruktionen hat sich nun gezeigt, daß es unter Umständen wichtig ist, eine andere Abhängigkeit zwischen den beiden Hebeln herzustellen, und zwar nach Fig. 3 der Zeichnung so, daß bei der Bewegung des Drosselventils von »zu« nach »offen« zuerst die Füllung in dem einen Sinne verändert wird und bei einer fortschreitenden Bewegung im umgekehrten Sinne.
