Description

  • Beschreibung Zur Patentanmeldung"Verfahren zum Ultraschallschweißen von Kunststoffen" Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Ultraschallschweissen von Kuststoffteilen.Zweck der Erfindung ist es, die Energiezufuhr in die Schweißzone zu verbessern und dadurch das Verschweißen von dickeren Werkstücken zu ermöglichen und/oder die mit der Energiezufuhr verknüpfte Materialschädigung zu verringern und/oder den Bereich der verschweißbaren Kunststoffarten zu erweitern.
  • Das Ultraschallschweißen von Kunststoffen ist bereits Stand der Technik. Einen Überblick über den Entwicklungsstand und die bekannte Literatur gibt z.B. POTENTE,H. :Untersuchung der Schweißbarkeit thermoplastischer Kunststoffe mit Ultraschall, Diss. TH Aachenl971.
  • Nach den bisher bekannten Verfahren wird die an der Schweißstelle nötige Schwingungsenergie dadurch zugeführt, daß einer der beiden Schweißpartner von einem Ultraschallerzeuger angeregt wird, während der zweite Schweißpartnerauf einem Amboß aufliegt. Dieser Amboß ist nach den bisherigen Verfahren entweder vollkommen ruhend oder er führt Schwingungen aus, die von der durch die beiden Schweißpartner und die Schweißzone übertragenen Restbewegungsenergie angeregt werden.
  • Auf jeden Fall muß dabei die gesamte zur Verschweißuing verfügbare Energie von einem der beiden Schweißpartner übertragen werden.
  • Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde,diese Art der Energiezufuhr durch eine andere zu ersetzen, durch die die Möglichkeiten des Ultraschallschweißverfahrens für Kunststoffe erweitert werden.
  • Die Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß dadurch gelöst,daß der Schweißstelle nicht mehr nur von einer, sondern von zwei Seiten Schwingungsenergie zugeführt wird,indem beide Schweiepartner von Ultraschallschwingern angeregt werden.
  • Nach einer weitern Ausgestaltung dber Erfindung werden zwischen den Frequenzen, Amplituden und Phasenlagen der in die beiden Schweißpartner eingeleiteten Schwingungen auf elektrischem Wege feste Beziehungen hergestellt.
  • Nach einer weiteren Ausgestaltung der Erfindung werden die beiden Schweißpartner mit Schwingungen angeregt,deren Frequenzen gleich sind und deren Phasen um ca, 180° gegeneinander verschoben sind.
  • Figur 1 zeigt ein Ausführungsbeispiel, bei dem die Scwingungen vertikal zu gewünschten Schweißfläche eingeleitet werden.Die Generatoren 10 und 12 erzeugen elektrische Schwingungen, zwischen deren Frequenzen, Amplituden und Phasen durch das Koppelglied 11 definierte Beziehungen hergestellt werden können. In elektroakustischen Schwingern 1 und 7 werden die elektrischen Schwingungen in mechanische verwandelt und über die Sonotroden 3 und 6 den beiden Schweißpartnern 5 und 9 zugeührt. Zu Kontroll - und Regelzwecken prüfen die beiden Pickups 2 und 8 die mechanischen Schwingungen.
  • Die beiden Ultraschallschwinger und damit auch die beiden Schweißpartner werden von der statischen Kraft 4 gegeneinander gedrückt.

Claims (3)

  1. Patentansprüche fr
    Verfahren zum Ultraschallschweißen von Kunststoffen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Schweißstelle von beiden Seiten Schwingungsenergie zugeführt wird, indem beide Schweißpartner von Ultraschallschwingern angeregt werden.
  2. 2. Vorrichtung zur Durchführung des Verfahrens nach Anspruch 1; dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß zwischen den Frequenzen, Amplituden und Shasenlagen der in die beiden Schweißpartner eingeleiteten Schwingungen feste Beziehungen aufqestellt werden können.
  3. 3. Vorrichtung zur Durchführung des Verfahrens nach Anspruchl, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Frequenzen der eingeleiteten Schwingungen gleich und ihre Phasen um ca. 1800 gegeneinander verschoben sind.
