Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von farbigen Werkstücken aus thermoplastischem Kunststoff im Spritzgußverfahren, wobei der Spritzgußmaschine eine von einer Mischanlage kommende Mischung von glasklarer Kunststoffmasse in Form von Granulat und Farbstoff zugeführt wird. Bei diesem bekannten Verfahren wird der granulierten Kunststoffmasse der Farbstoff in Pulverform oder Pastenform beigefügt. Das Mischen erfolgt dabei in der Regel in einer zentralen Mischanlage für mehrere Spritzgußmaschinen. Von der zentralen Mischanlage führen Förderer zu den einzelnen Spritzgußmashinen. Beim Fördern der mit Farbstoff vermischten Kunststoffmasse zu den Spritzgußmaschinen findet eine Entmischung statt, d.h. der Farbstoff bleibt an den Wänden des Förderers hängen. Dieses Ziel ist erfindungsgemäß im wesentlichen dadurch erreicht, daß der pulverförmige Farbstoff vor dem Mischen mit der granulierten Kunststoffmasse durch eine Verfestigung in eine körnige Form überführt wird. Dadurch wird in einfacher Weise erreicht, daß der Farbstoff der Kunststoffmasse in körniger Form beigefügt wird.
