Description

The invention relates to a vacuum cassette for X-ray films, which consists of two mechanically solid housing plates, with on the inside of the housing plate arranged intensifying screen; and with one plastic seal for sealing the cassette space between the housing plates.
In the usual Scharrtierkassetten foam inserts are therefore provided between the The cassette wall and the intensifying screen. When you insert the X-ray film, you press the reinforcing film against the X-ray film. As a result of the frequent changing of the X-ray film, the foam inserts tire very quickly, so that after a short time If the cassette is used, the intensifying screen is no longer placed tightly and flat on the X-ray film. The foam insert can also shift, or it can otherwise cause the Intensifying screen is not pressed evenly against the X-ray film. It has therefore already been proposed vacuum cassettes that after Insertion of the X-ray film can be evacuated, which then makes the housing plates of the cassettes tightly the intensifying screen and the latter should be placed close to the X-ray film (DE-AS I 288 904). These cassettes are usually by means of a groove, which is arranged on the edge of the housing plate, and a seal located therein, and with mechanical aids locked. The groove protruding with its edges from the surface of the housing plates and the associated groove The seal must therefore be exactly the thickness of 6 $ The intensifying screen and the X-ray film are coordinated, as this is the only way to ensure that the intensifying screen is fully seated on the X-ray film and the other Aufrechterhaltung des Vakuums in der Kassette auf die gewünschte Zeit möglich ist. Maintaining the vacuum in the cassette for the desired time is possible. The one lying in the groove In addition, the seal is difficult to check, so that any damage is not immediately recognized and as a result of which the vacuum created is not stable. The protruding edges also interfere when cleaning the cartridge, and the cartridge is relatively thick. For these cartridges are also special suction nozzles and valves are required, since the evacuation of the initially mechanically closed cassette only via such suction openings and can be done via valves. In addition to the protruding edges of the sealing grooves and in addition to the mechanical closures, the necessary valves also contribute to the fact that the cassettes are not only awkward to handle, but also that they are cumbersome are of considerable thickness and weight. For all these reasons, the known vacuum cassettes are particularly not suitable when they are to be used as mechanically stable but easily stackable and easy to handle cassettes in automatic film changing and developing machines.
Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde eine stapelbare, flache in einem Wechsel- und Entwicklungsautomaten einsetzbare Vakuumkassette zu schaffen, die über längere Zeit ein ausreichend gutes Vakuum gewährleistetThe invention is based on the object of creating a stackable, flat vacuum cassette that can be used in an automatic changing and developing machine, which ensures a sufficiently good vacuum over a longer period of time
Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß dadurch gelöst, daß die einzelnen Gehäuseplatten plane Oberflächen besitzen, daß die plastische Dichtung an der einen Gehäuseplatte rings um den Rand angeordnet ist, und daß die Kassette kein Ventil aufweist sondern mit Hilfe einer Evakuiervorrichtung über die Dichtung evakuierbar istThis object is achieved according to the invention in that the individual housing plates have flat surfaces, and that the plastic seal on one Housing plate is arranged around the edge, and that the cassette has no valve but with help an evacuation device can be evacuated via the seal
In a continuation of the invention, it can be used for the gradual reduction of the atmospheric pressure be expedient to provide the sealing surface of the seal with at least one circumferential groove. Even It is advantageous to make the two housing plugs of different sizes and to provide the smaller housing plate with the seal in such a way that it protrudes over the edge of the housing plate carrying them. This will be the outer edge of the seal and the outer edge of the larger housing plate is brought into line, so the correct position of the two housing plates to one another can easily be found.
The advantages achieved with the invention consist in particular in the good possibility of use the new cassette for automatic film changers and developing machines. The cassettes are light and handy, they can be stacked well, and an automatic film change is neither caused by protruding edges nor hindered by mechanical locks Also, there is no difficulty in connecting a Suction line. The housing plates themselves can be made of simple, flat material. Through this the weight and the thickness of the cassette are reduced, the housing plates are easier to clean, and the seal lying free on the edge of the cassette can also be better controlled. The over the edge of the smaller housing plate protruding seal requires no further means of sealing, since the after Atmospheric pressure on the outside of the seal after evacuation ensures a secure closure of the cassette. The evacuation of the vacuum cassette or the ventilation to open the cassette takes place directly over the protruding edge of the seal.
Es zeigtAn embodiment of the invention is in Drawing shown and is described in more detail below. It shows
F i g, 1 einen Teil der neuen Vakuumkassette in der Draufsicht und F i g. 2 den gleichen Teil im Schnitt,F i g, 1 a part of the new vacuum cassette in plan view and F i g. 2 the same part in section,
As can be seen from the figures, the vacuum cassette according to the invention consists of a lower completely flat housing plate 1 and an upper housing plate 2, which is also flat, the upper housing plate 2 is included made slightly smaller than the lower housing plate 1, and the former has a on its outer edge circumferential exposed seal 3, which is provided with two circumferential grooves 4 as well. Between Both housing plates are initially the two reinforcement foils 5 and 6 and between them finally is the actual X-ray film 7.
The vacuum cassette is used as follows: First, the lower housing plate 1, namely The X-ray film 7 is placed directly on the intensifying screen 5, then the upper housing plate 2 with its Reinforcing film 6 placed on it, in such a way that the outer edge of the seal 3 approximately with the edge of the The lower plate 1 closes off, now the space 9 located between the two housing plates t and 2 becomes evacuated directly above the seal 3, which is conveniently done with a special vacuum machine. Through this the atmospheric pressure on the outer surfaces of the case plates 1 and 2 presses the case plates firmly together, so that intensifying screen 5, 6 and X-ray film 7 come to rest in full. The pressure difference between the outside and the inside of the vacuum cassette is determined by the two grooves 4 gradually dismantled. The vacuum cassette is now ready for use. After exposing the X-ray film 7 can then the vacuum cassette directly z. B. by lifting the seal or with Can be ventilated again using the said vacuum machine, so that the X-ray film can be easily removed leaves. The cassette parts can then be used again without further ado.
