Diese Isoliermatten haben den Nachteil, dass sie Bodenunebenheiten (Vertiefungen, verlegte Kabel und Rohre, etc.) zwar ilberbrucken, dabei aber stets Hohlräume schaffen, in welche die betreffende Nattenpartie bei Belastung einbrechen kann, was meist ein Reissen der Natte und damit den Verlust der Isolierwirkung an dieser Stelle bedeutet.
