Die Platte b ist in der Mitte gelocht. In diese Oeffnung pafst der Hals h des Korkziehers . und kann darin auf- und niedergeschoben werden. Mit den beiden Enden der Platte sind mittelst der Gelenke g die Arme α α verbunden.The plate b is perforated in the middle. Ein leichter Druck der Hand, mit welcher man gleichzeitig die Flasche festhält, genügt, um die Klauen a a in der gegebenen Lage zu halten. Ist der Korkzieher so weit eingeschraubt, dafs die Platte b unmittelbar vor dem Gelenk g liegt, Fig. 2, so geben die Klauen α α ein weiteres Einschrauben nicht mehr zu, und der Kork mufs aus der Flaschenmündung heraustreten.If you want to open a bottle, you screw the corkscrew into the cork in the usual way, placing the claws aa with the angular recess on the edge of the bottle mouth.
