Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf Abortbecken mit knierohrförmigem Wasserverschluß und besteht in einer Einrichtung, die das Gefrieren des Verschlußwassers verhindern soll. Dies soll dadurch erreicht werden, daß der Eritlüftungsstutzen, anstatt unmittelbar mit dem Abfallrohr, lediglich mit dem, den Wasserverschluß umgebenden Raum, der allseitig abgeschlossen ist, in Verbindung steht. Das Becken A ist mit dem üblichen Wasserverschluß α versehen, der das Abfallrohr b nach dem Becken zu abschließt. Um ein Gefrieren des Verschlußwassers zu verhindern, werden die warmen, in dem Abfallrohr b hochsteigenden Kanalgase dadurch um den Wasserverschluß herumgeleitet, daß der Entlüftungsstutzen c gegen das Abfallrohr b abgeschlossen und mit dem den Wasserverschluß umgebenden, allseitig abgeschlossenen Raum d und dieser durch eine überlappte Öffnung/ mit dem Abfallrohr b verbunden ist. Die Kanalgase nehmen' also den in Fig. 1 durch Pfeile angedeuteten Weg, wobei sie ihre Wärme an den Wasserverschluß α abgeben. Eine in den Zwischenraum d eingebaute, wagerechte Wand g verhindert den unmittelbaren Abzug der aus der taschenförmigen Öffnung fin den Zwischenraum d übertretenden Kanalgase nach dem Entlüftungsstutzen c und zwingt sie, ihren Weg um den Wasserverschluß α herum zu nehmen.The basin A is provided with the usual water seal α , which closes off the waste pipe b after the basin.
