-,<, Plastic films and sheets are known which contain a carrier material in the form of a fiber fleece or fabric. These plastic films or sheets are produced in such a way that the fiber fleece or fabric is impregnated with synthetic resins, with curable synthetic resins being used as a rule. The impregnated nonwovens or fabrics are then cured. The process for producing these foils is relatively laborious and leads to relatively rigid structures, especially when larger pieces are desired. -, <,
It is also known that self-supporting heavy-duty plastic films can be produced from thermoplastics with a considerable content of fillers. Such heavy plastic films are described in DE-AS 1940838. These known v, heavy plastic films contained as plastics content excluding ethylene vinyl acetate copolymers and correspond to the initially heavy plastic film described. A vinyl acetate content of more than 45% in the ethylene-vinyl acetate mixed polymer is obviously considered to be disadvantageous. Another disadvantage of the known heavy plastic films, the lack of dimensional stability is indicated if they do not include carriers in the form of sheets that lend them a dimensional stability comparable M. The production of thermoplastic plastic films with carrier materials in the form of webs (for example fiber fleeces or fabrics) is, however, just like the production of thermosetting plastic films containing carrier materials, relatively cumbersome.
The invention is based on the object of the self-supporting heavy plastic film described at the outset to train so that it is easily available and has increased dimensional stability.
Erfindungsgemäß wird diese Aufgabe dadurch gelöst, daß das Äthylen-Vinylacetat-Mischpolymerisat ausAccording to the invention this object is achieved in that the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer the end
a) 50 bis 65 Gew.-% Vinylacetat unda) 50 to 65 wt .-% vinyl acetate and
b) 35 bis 50 Gew.-% Äthylen bestehtb) consists of 35 to 50% by weight of ethylene
und bis zu 35 Gew.-% durch andere Polymerisate ersetzt sein kann.and up to 35 wt .-% replaced by other polymers can be.
The heavy plastic film according to the invention preferably contains about 20% by weight of plastics and about 80% by weight fillers. If necessary, the self-supporting plastic film according to the invention can be used additionally contain other polymers which contain the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer of the above Composition can replace up to 35 wt .-%. This replacement can be used in various cases be beneficial. Preferably, the plastic component consists of about 75% by weight of ethylene Vinyl acetate copolymers, in which case about 25% by weight of other polymers are present. Such suitable polymers are, for example, polyvinyl chloride, polyvinyl acetate copolymers, isotactic polypropylene and / or bitumen. Bitumen is particularly preferred for economic reasons as it is very cheap and therefore the total cost of the film can be greatly reduced by the bitumen content, without the properties of the film being impaired to a practically significant extent. Butyl rubber too is a component in addition to the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers suitable.
The heavy plastic film according to the invention can use the usual fillers in this technical field materials used included. Examples include circles, barite, quartz powder and soot will. If desired, the heavy plastic film according to the invention can also contain other Usual technical film additives, such as plasticizers, vulcanization accelerators, anti-aging agents, Stabilizers and the like included. The production of the heavy plastic film according to the invention takes place in a manner known per se in this technical field.
The plastic heavy film according to the invention can otherwise be laminated with various materials, especially felt. In this form it can be dated Editors can be cut to any size and, if necessary, deformed.
According to a preferred embodiment, the heavy plastic film according to the invention is on one side with foamed with a foam plastic. It can also be painted, preferably with petrol-resistant paint Lacquers. These are petrol-resistant paints based on polyisocyanates and polyhydroxyl compounds particularly preferred.
There is a considerable need for self-supporting heavy-duty plastic films, since such films in particular with greater wall thicknesses of more than about 2 to 3 mm to a large extent, e.g. B. for sound insulation purposes, find extensive use. The heavy plastic film according to the invention is particularly suitable for this purpose.
