Hiernach bringt der Arbeiter den zu fräsenden Fischbandknopf zwischen die Fräsbacken // der Zange e. Da die in die Zangenschenkel e e eingeschobenen Backen der Zange dabei gegen die Spannkloben oder gegen das Bandeisen des Fischbandes stofsen, so bringt der Arbeiter ohne Mühe den zu fräsenden Knopf sofort in die richtige Lage. Nunmehr drückt der Arbeiter die Schenkel der Zange e zusammen, während er gleichzeitig durch Einrücken des Apparates den Spannkloben b mit dem Fischband zum Drehen bringt, so dafs der Knopf sofort gefräst wird. Da die Backen den Knopf gleich in seiner ganzen Form umfassen und ihn gleichzeitig mit ihren scharfen Fräskanten an diversen Stellen zugleich abfräsen, so dauert die ganze Manipulation des Blankfräsens nur sehr kurze Zeit, wobei der Arbeiter es je nach anzuwendendem Druck in seiner Macht hat, den Knopf mehr oder weniger stark abzufräsen. Hat der Arbeiter den Knopf fertig gefräst, dann rückt er den Apparat wieder aus, dreht die Fräszange zur Seite und nimmt das fertige fischband aus dem Spannkloben, oder er fräst den anderen Fischbandknopf in gleicher Weise.The milling tongs e are rotatably connected to the stand d by means of a pin.
