PAUL EBERLE in DRESDEN-A.PAUL EBERLE in DRESDEN-A.
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing leather footwear, in which the advantages of the so-called reversible shoe with those of the sewn shoe to achieve great ease, Durability and elasticity should be combined, but at the same time also the disadvantages of the two types of production should be avoided.
The outsole of the reversible shoe is inverted attached to the last and after the tear lips are raised, the shaft also pulled upside down over the last and twisted with the outsole. After this If the tangling happens, the upper leather is made by horizontal stitches on the tear lips sewn to the outsole. The shoe is then turned over. So that when turning the upper leather from the sole or vice versa, If the sole cannot burst or tear loose from the upper leather, one is forced to open the cracks To cut as deeply as possible into the sole leather, whereby the soles prematurely their Lose durability. If the cracks are cut less deeply, it often happens that the upper leather is already removed from the leather when it is turned or after having been worn for a short time Sole is torn loose.
A last covered with an iron plate is used for the sewn-through shoe. A leather insole is required, with the grain side down on the Last is pinned on. Then the shaft with the ■ upper leather is pinched outwards and by means of iron nails that fold when hammering on the iron plate and remain in the shoe, riveted to the leather insole. After then the cavity over the insole between the upper leather is appropriately filled and the edges are leveled, the outsole is pinned on with pegs. In the outsole is incised a crack which tapers downwards at an angle from the side of the grain. After this the tear lip is opened, the shoe is sewn by means of vertical stitches and the tear lip closed again. This design has the disadvantage that the shoe through the many Interlayers, insole, cardboard insert, etc., become stiff and inelastic and accordingly also · its durability suffers. Also, the leather gets through the use the many iron nails, which are often very uncomfortable when worn and Cause injuries to the foot, often puncturing them.
According to the method of the present invention, a shoe is now manufactured at which nails, except when building heels, do not remain in the shoe, but when building heels can also be hidden in such a way that they can never make themselves uncomfortably noticeable. Furthermore, between sole leather and Upper leather no intermediate layers introduced, so that a permanent sewing of the upper leather with the outsole is guaranteed.
Die Herstellung geschieht unter Verwendung eines Leistens mit aufgeschlagener Eisenplatte, die aber im Bereich des Ballens und der Zehenpartie rund herum etwa 10 mm schmalerThe production is done using a last with a cracked iron plate, but in the area of the ball of the foot and the toe area around 10 mm narrower

The subject of the invention is shown in the drawing, namely Fig. 1 shows a view of the last, Fig. 2 the provisional lasting insert or auxiliary sole, Fig. 3 the lasting insert pinned to the last with the shaft pulled over it, partly twisted, partly stitched with the lasting insert, 4 shows a finished shoe from below on the sole (external view), while FIG. 5 shows the inside of the shoe before the insole is inserted. 6 shows the insole, FIG. 7 shows the insert for the heel and FIG. 8 shows a section through the shoe, from which it can be seen how the insole is inserted in order to cover the riveted nails of the heel. 9 shows a cross-section through the shoe with the last inserted in that stage in which the upper leather has already been sewn to the outsole and the lasting nails have been removed, while the provisional lasting inlay to be removed is still present in the shoe.
The procedure is as follows: A last 1 made of wood is shod with an iron plate 2, which is in the area of the ball and the Toe area around 10 mm narrower than the last, so that a free edge of the groin 3 remains. On these strips 1 is a. provisional lasting insert 4 (Fig. 2), preferably made of cardboard, which is correspondingly narrower than the strips, so that they are about 10 mm protrudes from the edge of the strips, pinned onto the strips (Fig. 3). To this end has the iron plate cutouts of a known type. The shaft 5 is now placed over the strips 1 pulled, as in the case of a sewn-through shoe with the upper leather facing outwards. That Pinching of the upper leather is handled from the heel to the ball of the foot in the same way as with sewn through shoe, d. H. the upper leather is in the joint with the temporary lasting insert 4 provisionally connected by iron nails 6. From the ball of the foot to the tip, the Shank pinched by means of longer nails 7 exactly as with the turned shoe, namely if the pins are hammered into the all around free edge 3 next to the plate 2, they do not come into contact with the lasting insert 4 (Fig. 3), after the shoe is in is finished in this way, it is from the ball of the front round to the other ball bound with a thread 8 through long stitches, d. H. the thread is through the Upper leather 5 and pulled through the lasting insert 4 and both united to now the lasting pins 7 can now be removed again (Fig. 3). Then the outsole 9 (Fig. 4), which has received a tear sloping from top to bottom on the pinched one Boots pinned on with thin nails, so provisionally directly on the gusset attached. The tear in the sole is then opened, the boot pulled off the last and opened sewn on the machine by means of a sewing machine or by hand through vertical stitches. the Attachment of these bottom parts is therefore by direct sewing through the Upper leather as well as through the outsole 9 takes place without the use of intermediate layers. now the temporary lasting insert or auxiliary sole 4 is torn out of the shoe from the inside, the edges 11 (FIG. 5) of the upper leather are trimmed, and at the same time the tacking nails 6 are removed. With the removal of these nails, the shoe is complete freed from nails or pins.,
A leather insole is then inserted, which is formed as follows:
The insole consists of the front part 12 and the rear part 13 (Fig. 6). she will provided in the middle in a manner known per se with a transverse perforation to to make them articulated, and to a second narrower sole 15, 16 by gluing them together 0. Like. Connected in the front half of the sole. Then the hoe part becomes 16 the narrower sole bent up and between these and the heel part 13 of the A leather insert 17 is inserted into the wider insole. This has the purpose that the Paragraph construction originating nails 18 or their bent ends. cover up. The one before bent-up heel part 16 of the narrower insole is glued onto the leather insert 17, whereby the nail ends 18 are completely covered.
