Abstract

Monitoring system for the operation of an energy transfer chain that has a number of linked chain links and serves to guide hose, cable or similar between together two connection points (2, 3) that move relative to each other. Claims (25)

1. Monitoring system for the operation of at least one energy guiding chain ( 1 ) which comprises a plurality of chain links which are connected to one another in an articulated manner and between two connecting points ( 2 , 3 ) which can be moved relative to one another, one of which can be stationary, carries hoses, cables or the like at least one force transducer ( 8 ) for detecting a force acting in a desired direction of movement, in particular longitudinal direction, of the energy supply chain ( 1 ) on this or a partial area thereof and with an evaluation unit ( 9 ) which values the measured force with a predetermined desired value ( 10 ) compares and generates a signal when the measured force lies outside a tolerance range ( 14 ) of a predetermined target value ( 10 ).
2. System according to claim 1, characterized in that the signal is transmitted to a device that changes the operating state of the energy chain ( 1 ) due to the original or possibly processed signal.
