Abstract

The warning sign (1) is glued, screwed or riveted on the inside of the tank flap (2) and is folded down when the flap is closed. The warning sign automatically hinges by about 90 degrees when the tank flap is opened. The warning sign carries a conspicuous inscription or instruction which contains a warning, which may be the type of fuel to be used. The warning sign in its hinged open position lines upon the line of sight between the person carrying out the refueling and tank sealing cap and therefore attracts attention.

Claims (5)

1. Betriebsstoff-Warnzeiger für Treibstofftanks, gekennzeichnet dadurch, dass
  • - der Warnzeiger (1) innen am Tankdeckel (2) durch Klebung/Verschraubung/Nietung befestigt ist (Fig. 1) und
  • - der Warnzeiger bei geschlossenem Tankdeckel zusammengeklappt ist,
  • - der Warnzeiger sich um ca. 90° selbsttätig aufklappt, wenn der Tankdeckel geöffnet wird (Fig. 2),
  • - der Warnzeiger eine auffällige Aufschrift/Hinweis trägt, die eine Warnung (z. B. einzufüllende Betriebsstoffart) enthält,
  • - der Warnzeiger in aufgeklapptem Zustand auf der Sichtlinie zwischen der tankenden Person und der Tankverschlusskappe (3) liegt und damit erhöhte Aufmerksamkeit erzeugt.

  • - der Warnzeiger (1) aus biegsamen Material (z. B. Kunststoff-Folie oder Stoffgewebe) besteht, in das vorgeformte Federelemente eingeschweißt oder eingenäht sind (Fig. 3).

  • - die 2 Federelemente (4) und (5) nach dem Schließen des Tankdeckels (2) eine wesentlich geringere Spreizkraft bewirken als die Zuhalte- Feder des Tankdeckels.
