Abstract

A furniture system for office or post furniture has standardized upright hollow profiles for furniture legs. Other components are attached to the upright profiles e.g. table tops, sidewalls, stiffening profiles. The hollow profiles have one cambered outer face and a flat inner face. The flat inner face has a T-shaped recess for interlocking cross-members (3). The top panel (2) is secured by countersunk corner fittings (7).

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Möbelsystem bzw. ein Hohlprofil nach dem Oberbegriff des Anspruches 1.The invention relates to a furniture system or a hollow profile according to the preamble of claim 1.

Erfindungsgemäß weist das Hohlprofil einen im wesentlichen elliptischen Querschnitt auf. Hierdurch sieht es nicht nur ansprechend aus, sondern es ist auch von entsprechend großer Tragfähigkeit. Um für eine gute Befestigungsmöglichkeit und Anlage für die weiteren Bauteile zu sorgen ist eine Breitseite des Hohlprofiles abgeflacht, so daß eine Anlagefläche entsteht. In dieser Anlagefläche ist mindestens eine in Längsrichtung verlaufende Befestigungsnut ausgebildet, an der weitere Profile wie insbesondere Rechteckprofile angebracht werden können, um das Grundgestell des Möbels zu erstellen. Damit der elliptische Querschnitt wieder vervollständigt wird, ist auf jede Anlagefläche ein entsprechendes Verschlußprofil aufsetzbar und zwar dort, wo keine weiteren Profile befestigt sind. Dieses Verschlußprofil deckt die entsprechende Befestigungsnut ab und sorgt für den gewünschten elliptischen Querschnitt. In den Stirnflächen sind Befestigungskammern mit rundem Querschnitt vorgesehen, in die Gewinde einschneidbar sind, um hier Tischplatten oder dgl. zu befestigen.According to the invention, the hollow profile has a substantially elliptical cross-section.
