Abstract

Filter insert comprises a filter mat folded to form a bellows. Side walls are along each side edge of the bellows. Each side wall has a bar running between the surfaces of the filter main surface in the longitudinal direction of each side wall and protruding so that the combination of the side walls and the bars forms a T-shaped cross-section. Filter insert (1) comprises a filter mat (10) folded to form a bellows (2) having a number of first folds (3) and a number of second folds (4). Claims (10)

1. Filtereinsatz (1) zum Einsetzen in ein Filtergehäuse, mit einer zu einem Faltenbalg (2) gefalteten Filtermatte (10), wobei
  • - der Faltenbalg (2) eine Mehrzahl von ersten Faltenrücken (3) aufweist, welche eine erste Filterhauptfläche aufspannen, und eine Mehrzahl von zweiten Faltenrücken (4) aufweist, welche eine von der ersten Filterhauptfläche beabstandete zweite Filterhauptiläche aufspannen,
  • - die Filtermatte (10) in ihrer Querrichtung durch zwei einander gegenüberliegende, quer zu den Faltenrücken (3, 4) sägezahn- oder wellenförmig verlaufende Seitenkanten (13, 14) und in ihrer Längsrichtung durch zwei einander ebenfalls gegenüberliegende, zu den Seitenkanten (13, 14) im wesentlichen quer verlaufende Stirnkanten (5) begrenzt ist, und
  • - entlang jeder der Seitenkanten (13, 14) jeweils eine Seitenwand (15, 16, 16',16") an dem Faltenbalg (2) angeordnet ist, welche im wesentlichen senkrecht zu den Faltenrücken (3, 4) verläuft, sich in ihrer Längsrichtung von der einen bis zur anderen Stirnkante (5) erstreckt und als Versteifungselement für den Faltenbalg (2) wirkt,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß jede der Seitenwände (15, 16, 16', 16") einen Steg (99, 100, 100', 100") aufweist, welcher mittig oder außermittig zwischen den Ebenen der Filterhauptflächen in im wesentlichen in Längsrichtung der jeweiligen Seitenwand (15, 16, 16', 16") verläuft und von dieser in einer von dem Faltenbalg (2) abgewandten Richtung so absteht, daß die Kombination aus Seitenwand (15, 16, 16', 16") und Steg (99, 100, 100', 100") jeweils einen im wesentlichen T-förmigen Querschnitt besitzt, wobei der Balken des T durch die Seitenwand (15, 16, 16', 16") und der Stiel des T durch den Steg (99, 100, 100', 100") gebildet ist.1.
