Description 14.05.02 Device for leading dogs on bicycles

Devices of conventional design (see document DE0029800603U1) differ in that they are more complex to assemble and disassemble. There are more loose parts when not used with dogs. The rubber cord is less elastic due to its length. When the bike is parked, an additional leash is required for the dog. The spontaneity and flexibility of use are significantly limited compared to the device listed in the application.

The solution to the problem specified in claim 1 lies in the combination of guide tube 2 and bracket 1.

The cyclist is given the opportunity to spontaneously tie his dog to his bike without much effort or to convert the bike to "dog-free operation".

Once the holder 1 is mounted, all he has to do is push the guide tube 2 through the holder 1, attach the dog to the snap hook 8 and he can drive off. The device is self-locking so that no additional loose parts are required for fastening or locking.

If the bicycle is used without a dog, the guide tube 2 can be pulled out and stored as desired.

Alternatively, it can remain in the holder 1, but for safety reasons the snap hook 8 should be hooked into the loop 11. This "centers" the guide tube 2 in a fixed position.

During operation with a dog, the loop 11 can also be used to lock the guide tube 2 in holder 1 by hooking it into the fixed point provided in bearing 5 or holder 1. (additional option not shown)

This is solved in claim 1.

The solution to the problem specified in claim 2 consists in, for example, in the pedestrian zone, on a bike tour combined with a hike, when shopping...

If the bike is to be parked, a leash for the dog must usually be carried along. Reasons for this include wildlife protection or the protection of passers-by.

The guide tube 2 is designed so that it can also be used as a leash. The guide tube is removed from the holder and the dog can be leashed using the snap hook 8. The loop 11 is then placed around the wrist.

This is solved in claim 2.

The solution to the problem specified in claim 3 is to provide the dog owner with the greatest possible safety when riding with the dog. If the dog reacts to a stimulus and breaks out, the system must mitigate the direct impact of the force and give the cyclist time to react (stop). The dog also needs space to run on the grass, for example, while the cyclist uses the asphalt path. (Animal protection)

This is achieved by the elasticity and slowly increasing force development as described in claim 3 .

Claims (3)

1. Device for leading dogs to bicycles The combination of holder 1 and guide tube 2 is characterized in that the guide tube 2 can be pushed into or pulled out of the holder 1 as required without additional loose fastening means.
This combination has a self-clamping/self-locking effect. Optionally, the loop 11 can be hooked into bracket 1 for additional security.
The bracket 1 is attached to the bicycle and can remain there without causing any interference. 2. Device according to claim 1. Guide tube 2 is characterized in that it can be used as a leash for the dog. Loop 11 can be worn around the wrist as an additional safety device. 3. Device according to claim 1 guide tube 2 is characterized in that a long rubber rope is used due to the arrangement and guidance (bearing rubber rope 4 and rubber rope guide 6 up to the fastening point of the snap hook 8 ) and thus a large, variable elasticity range is available. By choosing the rope thickness and length, it can be adapted to any application.
