Abstract

Connection bracket (10; 10`) for a rear wall grid (20) in a warehouse rack (30; 30`), wherein the connection bracket (10; 10') comprises a short leg (11) and a long leg (12) in an L-shaped configuration, and wherein the short leg (11) has a plurality of recesses for the passage of fastening elements and the long leg (12) has at least one hanging compartment (19) open to an outer side via a recess (18) for hanging the rear wall grid (20), characterized in that the connection bracket (10; 10') is designed as a steel wire grid with transverse bars and longitudinal bars (13, 14, 15, 16).

Description

The invention relates to a connection bracket for a rear wall grid in a warehouse rack with the features of the preamble of claim 1.

There are often walkways or other sensitive areas along the back of a warehouse rack. In order to protect people in the walkway, for example, so-called rear wall grilles are mounted on the back of the rack. To prevent the rear wall grille from coming into direct contact with the goods stored on the shelf, these are mounted on the rack frame at an appropriate safety distance from the rear edge of the shelf. For this purpose, several connection brackets per rear wall grille are connected to the rack support. The connection brackets move the safety level formed by the rear wall grille from the back of the storage rack outwards.

From the US D737,672S and the 2010227107 A1 A connecting bracket made of sheet steel, i.e. flat material, is known. This is profiled in an L-shape, with a short leg for contact and connection with the outside of the storage rack and the longer one to create the distance between the rear wall grid and the rack. The short leg has elongated holes for fastening. At the end of the long leg facing away from the short leg, several similar and parallel recesses are punched into it, which allow a rear wall grid to be directly attached. The main disadvantage of the known connecting brackets is their high weight. Since at least four connecting brackets are required per shelf compartment and assembly sometimes has to be carried out at great heights from work platforms, cherry pickers, etc., manufacturing the connecting brackets from sheet steel not only means a high consumption of resources, but also increases the physical strain on the people carrying out the assembly. In addition, two versions of connection brackets are required for mounting on the right and left sides so that the screw connections on the short leg can be attached from the same side and the long legs are positioned flush on top of each other, which increases production and storage costs.

The object of the invention is therefore to create a cost-effective and weight-reduced connection bracket for a rear wall grid in a warehouse shelf.

This object is achieved by a connection console having the features of claim 1.

According to the invention, the connection console is completely formed as a grid made of steel wire, which leads to a weight reduction of more than 250% compared to a comparable connection console made of sheet steel.

In the connection console according to the invention, a hanging compartment is formed by a grid mesh with at least one opening to the outside, in which a rod of the rear wall grid is loosely held. The much larger clear area in the hanging compartment compared to the cross-section of the wire on the rear wall grid prevents the rear wall grid from jamming when hanging in or during later use.

In the case of the connection bracket according to the invention, which is designed as a wire mesh, the same static load-bearing capacity as a conventional connection bracket made of sheet steel can be achieved by means of appropriate wire thicknesses and a close-meshed grid structure.

If goods stored in the shelf compartment are pressed against the rear wall grid and this causes the rear wall grid to deform, oblique tensile forces are exerted on the connecting brackets that form the lateral fastening points. With the connecting brackets according to the invention, the L-shaped configuration can adapt to such loads, first through elastic and then through plastic deformation. This only shortens the angle between the two legs of the connecting brackets. The rear wall grid, however, remains securely suspended in the hanging compartment and does not tilt there even under tension.

Preferably, both outer edges, i.e. on the short leg as well as on the long leg, are reinforced with double longitudinal bars. In addition to the mechanical reinforcement, the double longitudinal bars positioned close to each other form storage or hanging compartments.

On the short leg, the receiving compartments serve to guide the screw connections to the shelf frame. By choosing the distances between the longitudinal and transverse bars, a receiving space is created that is tailored to the screw diameter, the incircle of which is comparable to a through hole and is chosen so narrow that a screw head, possibly with a washer, cannot slip through the receiving compartment, but rests against both parallel longitudinal bars.

On the long leg, the hanging compartments serve to hold the rear wall grille. For this purpose, the outermost longitudinal bar on the long Each leg is perforated to allow the rear wall grille to be easily hung in the hanging compartment. The adjacent, internal longitudinal bar, however, has no interruptions.

Another advantage of the connection console according to the invention is that it can be used in two orientations, so that no separate embodiments are required for attachment to the left or right side.

It is also advantageous if the height of the connection brackets is selected and the distance between the adjacent hanging compartments is set in such a way that several connection brackets can be arranged one above the other, while the grid dimension specified by the mesh sizes of the rear wall grid is maintained.

Conversely, it can also be planned to design a single connection bracket so high that it extends over a large part, in particular over the entire height of the rear wall grid. This creates additional security, as objects can no longer fall sideways through the gap between the shelf frame and the rear wall grid. The design of a connection bracket over the entire height of the rear wall grid is possible due to the low weight of the connection brackets in relation to their respective height. Correct positioning on the shelf frame and attaching the screw connections can also be carried out more quickly with just one connection bracket per side than with four individual connection brackets, each of which has to be placed and attached individually in one of the corner areas of the rear wall grid.

In a preferred embodiment, it is provided that the screws for fastening to a shelf support can be guided through receiving compartments on the short leg. The receiving compartments are formed between two parallel longitudinal bars, which in particular form the entire short leg, together with the respective cross bars, which extend along the entire L-shaped configuration of the connection bracket, i.e. across the long and short legs. At the same time, the two parallel longitudinal bars form supports for screw heads, washers or the like.

It is also possible for the rod arranged on the outer edge to have recesses, like the rod on the outer edge of the long leg. This makes it possible to loosely pre-assemble the screw connection on the shelf support in advance and then slide the connection bracket onto the pre-positioned screws from the side.

A further advantage of the connecting brackets according to the invention is that, when attached in pairs to adjacent shelf supports as usual, they can also be used as a holder for a push-through protection device, which is formed, for example, by a rectangular steel profile.
