Description

The invention relates to a child's high chair with a storage box that is displaceably arranged on it. It also relates to a storage box for such a child's high chair with means formed on the storage box for displaceably arranging the storage box on the child's high chair.

Specifically, the highchair equipped with a storage box according to the invention is one that is designed with two side elements arranged parallel to one another and connecting parts connecting these side elements, with one of the connecting parts forming a backrest. The highchair also has a seat board and a footboard, these two boards being detachably fixed or fixable in mounting structures formed in mutually facing inner surfaces of the side elements and adjustable in a mounting height. These mounting structures can, for example, be grooves made in the inner surfaces of the side elements, into which the boards can be pushed with their side edges to fit. However, other types of assembly structures are also conceivable here.

In addition, the highchair has a horizontal slot in the side elements at the same vertical height, which is closed at a front and a rear edge of the side element.

Such a high chair is, for example, in the DE 20 2006 009 759 U1 disclosed to the present applicant. Such a model is also offered on the market by the applicant under the name “Alpha”.

In households with children, there is typically the problem that there are various utensils that have been specially purchased for babies and small children, for their employment and care, and which have to be stowed away accordingly when not in use. This often leads to additional challenges, especially in households where storage space is already tight. In addition, many parents wish to store the items they have bought for their babies, toddlers or children where they will be used. So there are corresponding considerations, such utensils, such as special toys, but also bibs or children's crockery and cutlery, which are regularly used when a small child or child is sitting in the high chair and, for example, is being fed or has to be busy, if possible in the to keep the immediate environment with this piece of furniture.

Accordingly, there are already proposals in the prior art to create storage options and containers that are arranged on such high chairs or are connected to them. This bag should be able to be connected to the highchair via Velcro fasteners in a manner not described in detail.

In the DE 20 2012 007 123 U1 describes a bag-like storage device, which can be fixed via hooks to corresponding eyelets to be provided on the rear of a highchair and hangs below the seat.

The DE 20 2019 003 707 U1 proposes a combination of a storage box mounted on wheels and a highchair. The storage box has special receptacles on the upper side for the lower ends of a frame or foot part of the highchair, so that this highchair can be placed on the storage box on wheels and thus be formed together with the box as a unit.

The DE 20 2023 000 613 U1 proposes special adapters with which storage boxes of a certain type from the supplier lkea can be fitted and connected to a children's high chair offered by the manufacturer Stokke under the Tripp Trapp ^® brand. These adapters are characterized in particular by rounded outer shapes with which they can engage in grooves formed on the inner surfaces of side elements of the special high chair, so that the special storage boxes provided with these adapters can be pushed into these grooves like drawers.

Even if the proposals known from the prior art have already shown various approaches that allow storage options to be created directly on the highchair, these are still unsatisfactory in various aspects and the inventors have recognized a need for improvement here. In particular, storage containers that protrude outwards and are mounted on the highchair, in particular attached there, are often bulky and take up additional space when the highchair is set aside, but also when it is in use, and can be disruptive, especially when space is limited. Soft pocket-like storage Storage containers often offer less protection to the contents stored in them. In addition, it is often much more difficult to arrange the items stored in them in a neat and tidy manner. So this is where the invention comes in and seeks to create an improvement, i.e. to combine a highchair with a storage box that is attached to the highchair and can be stowed away to save space without affecting the variability of the highchair.

According to the invention, this goal is achieved by a high chair with the features of claim 1. Advantageous possible developments and configurations of such a high chair are identified in the dependent claims 2 to 11. In a further aspect, a storage box with the features of claim 12 is specified with the invention. Advantageous configurations and developments of such a storage box are identified in the dependent claims 13 to 20. Further advantageous design features also result from the following description of the invention.

According to the invention, a child's high chair provided with a storage box initially has two side elements arranged parallel to one another and also has connecting parts which connect the side parts to one another. In this case, one of the connecting parts forms a backrest. As also implemented in known highchairs, the highchair according to the invention also has a seat board and a footboard, these boards being detachably fixable in mounting structures formed in mutually facing inner surfaces of the side elements and adjustable in mounting height. Accordingly, as is also the case with known highchairs, the highchair according to the invention can be adjusted individually in a wide variety of ways with regard to a seat height and also with regard to the distance between the seat surface and the storage area for the feet, i.e. between the seat board and the footboard. In the side elements of the highchair according to the invention, horizontally extending slots are formed at the same vertical height, one such slot in each of the side elements. These slits are each closed at a front and a rear edge of the side element, that is to say they are slit-like openings which are closed all around.

In the features explained above, the high chair according to the invention is still formed according to such models as are known from the prior art, it can in particular, as in the DE 20 2006 009 759 U1 explained and shown by the present applicant, be constructed.

What is special about the highchair disclosed here and according to the invention consists in the storage box that is specially arranged and mounted on this in the manner described below. According to the invention, this storage box, which has a bottom, a peripheral side wall and an upper opening opposite the bottom in a manner typical for such elements, is arranged horizontally displaceably on the high chair. For this purpose, outwardly protruding projection structures are formed on mutually opposite lateral side wall sections of the storage box, which adjoin the side elements. These projection structures protrude into the respectively adjacent vertically running slot and are guided therein in a rotationally fixed and horizontally displaceable manner.

This special design results on the one hand in a drawer-like suspension of the storage box in the highchair and between the side elements, whereby the fact that the horizontally running slots are closed at the two longitudinal ends means that the storage box is moved horizontally but not released from the slot and so on can fall out. The storage box is so far so captive connected to the high chair.

The storage box can in particular be shaped and adapted so that when it is pushed in it lies within an outer contour spanned by the highchair and accordingly does not protrude beyond this, so that there is no increased space requirement for stowing the highchair. Due to the drawer-like displaceability, the storage box can be pulled out of the highchair or from its outer contour until it is pulled out, in which the storage box is still connected to the highchair, so that the opening is easily accessible and utensils can be stored tion box can be stowed or removed from this.

In particular, the longitudinal slots in the side elements can each be arranged in a position, in particular in a lower position, in which there are no longer any mounting structures and in particular below which there are no longer any mounting structures. In this way it is ensured that the storage box mounted on the highchair does not impair the variety of adjustment options and positioning of the footboard and/or seat board. The storage box, which is arranged on the highchair in the manner described above and is fixed in a movable manner, thus creates additional functionality, without the other functionality and adjustability being restricted here or having to be accepted.

Importantly, the projection structures, in cooperation with the slots in which they engage, prevent rotation of the storage box. This can be achieved in that two or more such projection structures are formed along a horizontal line at a number of positions on one side of the storage box. However, it is preferred that only one such projection structure is formed on each side, since this allows the storage box to be displaced both forwards and backwards out of the contour of the high chair, so that the storage box can be operated particularly flexibly. In this case, the projection structures on the laterally located side wall sections can then advantageously be provided in an approximately central position as seen in the horizontal direction.

In order to ensure, in particular with only one projection structure formed on each side, that this provides torsional strength, these can advantageously each have a first longitudinal edge extending horizontally in a straight line and a second longitudinal edge extending horizontally in a straight line, these longitudinal edges being at a distance corresponding to a vertical height of the slot are arranged to each other and rest against an upper and a lower limit of the slot for non-rotatable and horizontally displaceable guidance of the storage box.

Again, if only one projection structure is formed on each side, these projection structures can each advantageously have a front edge and a rear edge extending transversely to the longitudinal edges, with these front and rear edges each interacting with the end of the slot facing the respective edge form a stop. In particular, the two side rails of each of the side elements can be arranged inclined to the vertical and can also each run inclined towards one another. The storage box that is fixed in a displaceable manner on the high chair can advantageously have a cover that can be placed on the upper opening. This can be designed in one piece or in several parts, being connected to the storage box and attached to it, for example Can be pivotally fixed, but also fully detachable.

In order to create even more storage space in which other utensils can be stowed on the highchair, it can include an additional storage element in addition to the storage box, which can be attached to the backrest of the highchair, there in particular at the back, via hooks formed thereon. Such a storage element can in particular consist of a solid material and also be box-shaped or crate-shaped, wherein it can advantageously have a curvature corresponding to a curvature of the backrest on at least one wall facing the back of the backrest. In this respect, the two storage containers provided, the storage box and the additional storage element, can also be understood as a storage set that is or can be connected to the high chair. As mentioned above, another aspect of the invention disclosed and claimed herein is a storage box for attachment to a child's high chair. This storage box comprises a floor, a side wall surrounding the floor all the way round, a storage space laterally enclosing, and a top opening. The side wall has two parallel opposite side sections, on each of which projecting outward projection structures are formed opposite one another and pointing away from the storage space, for introduction into a horizontally running slot in one of two opposite side elements of a highchair, assigned to the respective projection structures. In particular, the storage box has two such projection structures, one on each side portion. Such a storage box can be connected to a child's high chair in the manner described above and fixed to it so that it can be displaced horizontally, and consequently provides the advantages already mentioned above.

The projection structures of the storage box can each have a straight upper edge and a straight lower edge parallel to the upper edge at a distance, in order to ensure, guided in the slots as already described above, that the storage box is secured against rotation when it is attached to a highchair is set in the manner described above. The storage box of the invention can in particular be made of plastic. This can be PP or PE, for example; but other types of raw material can also be used. Plastic has the advantage that a storage box formed from it can be dimensionally stable, yet light and at the same time easy to clean and have good durability.

A storage box according to the invention can also have a lid for closing the upper opening, with the advantages already described above. In particular, this cover can be designed to be completely removable.

In order to make it easier to shift or move the storage box used in a highchair and connected to it, it can be provided in particular that it has an engagement or an engagement element in a front section of the side wall and/or in a rear section of the side wall, with a such intervention can be formed in particular in the form of an opening, for example a circular opening.

The attachment of the storage box 1 in a lower section of the highchair 10, in which no horizontal grooves 21 are provided, means that it does not collide with a height-adjustable positioning of the footrest 23 and insofar does not affect the variety of settings of the highchair 10. All of the horizontal grooves 21 remain unobstructed by the storage box 1 and can still be used to insert the boards, seat board 22 and foot board 23 as desired.
