Abstract

Edge profile for closing off a walkable floor area erected with panel elements, with a storage section for placing the edge profile on a substrate, the storage section having a panel storage area opposite the ground, on which a panel element can be placed, and with a cover section for covering an end face of the panel element, wherein the cover section has at least one illuminant channel into which an illuminant is introduced.

Description

The invention relates to edge profiles or end profiles, with which clean and high-quality ends can be realized, e.g. on terraces, balconies, flat roofs, roof terraces and pool borders. These closures can also be equipped with indirect lighting.

When laying slab material (stone or ceramic slabs, fine stoneware, natural stone slabs, WPC or wooden floorboards), it has proven difficult to design clean, high-quality borders and finishes with or without indirect lighting using known, conventional procedures. In most cases, these connections and terminations are realized with firmly glued panels, which, however, leads to damage over time due to weather influences. In the case of visible borders and terminations, the edges of the panel material also have to be elaborately processed so that the front side of the panel material fits the surface. Conventional laying methods also have the disadvantage that the panels shift due to the lack of an edge profile, which means that the joint pattern becomes larger and uneven and the panel material begins to "tilt". Furthermore, there is no system/profile on the market in which you can quickly and easily implement indirect lighting in connection with paving with an edge profile.

In addition, implementation with conventional methods and options has proven to be time-consuming and therefore costly.

The object of the present invention is therefore to provide an edge profile and LED profile which overcome the disadvantages of the prior art in a simple manner.

This problem is solved with the edge profiles and LED profiles according to the invention, which provide a fast, inexpensive and high-quality implementation of edge finishes and indirect lighting, among other things, for paving on terraces, balconies, flat roofs, roof terraces and pool borders.

The edge profiles and LED profiles according to the invention consist of an extruded aluminum profile. These aluminum profiles have various, very special constructive properties.

The profiles are equipped with a horizontal and/or vertical light channel. A wide variety of LED strips can be used for lighting in this light channel. The light channels can be closed with a plastic cover. The clip-on plastic cover not only ensures uniform and homogeneous lighting, but also protects against dirt and moisture.

The embodiment in which the plastic cover can be simply and firmly clipped into place on the receptacle is considered favorable.

A further preferred embodiment of the edge profile and LED profile according to the invention provides a vertical web. This bridge ensures that the panel material lies in the system and cannot slip. Furthermore, the vertical web of the edge profiles and LED profiles means that the front sides of the panel material cannot be seen. The vertical web also provides a contact surface for the spacers so that they cannot slip together with the panel material.

Equally of inventive importance is the horizontal leg of the edge profiles and LED profiles. This horizontal leg not only ensures a wide support surface, but also serves as a support and fastening surface for intermediate profiles or as a pure fastening surface, with which the profile can be fastened quickly and easily to a substrate.

Also included in the invention is an inclined water drain. This sloping profile design allows the water that runs over the joints onto the edge profile and LED profile to drain through holes over the profile.

The tread is also of inventive importance. This not only enables an optical aspect. This stepping surface ensures that feet and hands can be adjusted evenly, especially in the case of walk-on edges around pool edges.

Another preferred embodiment of the edge profile and LED profile according to the invention provides that the profiles are used in particular for pool borders due to their construction. But the profiles can also be used on all other surfaces such as balconies, terraces, flat roofs or roof terraces.
