The bolt closes the muzzle of the barrel of so-called color-marking weapons or of live weapons converted for training with color-marking ammunition when using bulletless ammunition.

The weapon itself is not changed and no changes and/or modifications are necessary.
By removing the safety bolt, the original condition and function can be restored at any time.

State of the art: the above-mentioned weapons are usually used without a muzzle closure, i.e. with an open barrel.

Color-marking ammunition is used from the corresponding weapons supplied or converted by the manufacturer in order to be able to realistically represent operational scenarios.
It leaves a noticeable stain of color at the meeting point.
Different colors allow the hit to be clearly assigned to the shooter.

It is usually used in special rooms or areas, since the ammunition heavily contaminates the surrounding area with paint and a background hazard cannot be ruled out.

Those practicing also need to wear special protective clothing to prevent hematomas, lacerations and eye injuries.

For these reasons, laser training or virtual reality systems are increasingly being used instead of color marking ammunition.

The corresponding cartridges do not have a projectile.

They only ensure the reloading function of the weapon and trigger the laser of the training system or the VA system with a relatively moderate bang.
This bulletless ammunition can of course also be used without a laser or VR system.
This means that the environment is not contaminated and, apart from the obligatory eye protection (in a significantly lower protection class than with paint ammunition!), no protective clothing is necessary.

The danger here is the possible confusion of the types of ammunition!

If the shooter accidentally loads color-marking ammunition, there is a significant risk of injury if it hits unprotected parts of the body!

The safety bolt fulfils two tasks here:

• Even several bullets in a row until the barrel is completely filled and the resulting jamming is handled without any problems!

And secondly, the part of the bolt protruding from the muzzle makes it clear that the weapon is harmless.

The safety bolt consists of two parts:

Two basic designs:

• open version:
  • louder gunshot sound.

Safety bolt for color marking training weapons which is inserted into the muzzle of the barrel. Safety bolts according to Claim 1 , characterized in that it can be manufactured in an open or closed design. Safety bolt according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it consists of an aluminum base body with a head and several (optimally 3) radially distributed expansion slots, or expansion and gas outlet slots, as well as an expansion screw made of stainless steel located therein.
