Die Erfindung betrifft eine Käfiganordnung für Nagetiere mit einem Gestell, in dem eine Mehrzahl übereinander und optional nebeneinander positionierter Käfige angeordnet sind. Die Käfige haben dabei eine Käfigwanne und einen Käfigdeckel. Die Käfigwanne weist einen Boden, eine umseitige Wandlung sowie eine Öffnung auf der dem Boden gegenüberliegenden Seite auf. Die erfindungsgemäß im Käfiganordnung weist jeweils in einer horizontalen Ausziehrichtung aus dem Gestell herausziehbare Teleskopauszüge auf, die am Gestell fixiert sind. Jeder der Käfige ist dabei auf zumindest einem, ihm zugeordneten Teleskopauszug positioniert, d. h. der Käfig ist entweder unmittelbar auf dem zugeordneten Teleskopauszug abgelegt oder aber mittelbar auf einem Träger, der wiederum auf dem Teleskopauszug abgelegt ist. Jedem der Käfige ist zudem zumindest ein am Gestell fixiertes hinteres Auflager zur Auflage für einen hinteren Bereich des Käfigdeckels des jeweils zugeordneten Käfigs zugeordnet, dass in vertikaler Richtung unterhalb der Oberkante der hinteren Wandung der Käfigwanne dieses Käfigs angeordnet ist. Zusätzlich können separate erfindungsgemäße Käfiganordnungen nebeneinander positioniert werden, sodass dann über die Käfiganordnungen eine Mehrzahl Käfige nebeneinander Position positioniert sind.
