The invention relates to a stand for a container over an open fire with four legs and a cross member, two legs being connected to the two ends of the cross member.

Such stands are known. They are used to hang containers over an open fireplace. Containers can be pots or pans, but also grill grates or the like. The food is placed in or on the container and cooked using the radiated heat from the fireplace below. For the stand, it is important that it is stable during use so that it does not tip over in the event of light bumps or relatively strong winds.

In addition to the stable stand, it is also important that the stand bracket can be easily assembled and disassembled. It would also be particularly advantageous if the stand holder consists of as few individual parts as possible. Conventional stand mounts have, for example, screw connections and / or connections by means of adapter pieces. These rather smaller elements can easily be lost. For flexible use, it is also important that the stand can be transported and stored in a space-saving manner. In addition, it would also be advantageous if the containers could be hung on the stand at different heights.

It is therefore desirable to provide a stand that can be assembled and dismantled quickly and easily, that consists of a few individual parts, that is flexible in use and that can be transported in a space-saving manner.

For this purpose, the invention proposes, based on a stand bracket of the type mentioned at the beginning, that the cross member rod has an undetachably connected carrier hook at its ends and that the four legs have an eyelet on their side facing the cross member rod, into which the respective carrier hook of the cross member rod is inserted.

The cross member can be connected to the legs directly and without additional screw connections or the like due to this one-piece design including the carrier hook. The assembly and disassembly of the stand bracket is very easy, because only the carrier hooks have to be threaded into the eyelets of the legs. Overall, the stand bracket therefore has only a few individual parts. In the dismantled state, the cross member and legs can be put together along their longitudinal axes so that they can be stowed and transported in a very space-saving manner.

An advantageous development of the invention provides that the two legs, each connected to one end of the cross member, are held in position by means of a counter holder. The counter holder is designed to be rigid and engages around the two legs. When both carrier hooks of the cross member are threaded into the eyelets of the legs, the legs are aligned essentially parallel to one another. After threading, the legs can be pivoted away from each other in the circumferential direction of the cross member until they each strike the counter holder. The angle between the legs is thus predetermined by the counter holder. When the legs are swiveled out, the stand bracket has optimum stability.

In addition, it is useful if at least two container support hooks are also detachably arranged on the transverse support rod. This means that either two or more pots, kettles or similar containers can be hung on the crossbar at the same time with a handle. A grill grate can also be hung on two or more container support hooks.

It is particularly advantageous if at least two of the container support hooks are of different lengths. Using the container support rods of different lengths, the containers can be hung on the cross support rod at different heights and thus placed at different heights above the open fire. This is particularly advantageous because, depending on the container and in particular depending on the food to be cooked, a different temperature is required, which can be set very well via the distance from the fire.

It is particularly advantageous that the legs are bent over at their ends facing the cross member so that the eyelets are formed. This makes the eyelets particularly stable and the manufacturing process is very simple because the legs can be made from a simple rod.
