Description

The invention relates to a dumbbell, a base body of a dumbbell and a handle of a dumbbell.

State of the art

Dumbbells are known from the prior art. Dumbbells can have a handle and fixed or removable weights at both ends of the handle. Kettlebells consist of a round metal body with a handle.

With these known dumbbells, no or no significant adjustments to the biomechanics of a user of the dumbbells can be made. It may also be the case that new dumbbells have to be purchased if the weight requirement changes, for example after a certain training effect has been adjusted, in particular in the case of kettlebells and dumbbells with permanently installed weights. With the known dumbbells, a user would therefore need several devices with different weights and with different device types in order to be able to carry out an individual training session.

Disclosure of Invention

The object of the invention is to provide a dumbbell that can be individually adapted to the biomechanical needs and to a weight requirement. The invention is also based on the object of providing a base body and a handle for such a dumbbell.

These tasks are solved with the dumbbell, the body and the handle of the independent claims.

Advantageous configurations are specified in the dependent claims.

A dumbbell for performing training exercises from the field of sports has a base body with a base plate and a bar connected to the base plate, with a first extension direction of the bar being arranged at an angle of at least 80 degrees, in particular perpendicular, to the base plate. The base plate protrudes over the spar. This allows additional weights to be attached to the dumbbell. The additional weights can correspond to the training discs standardized according to international standards. These training discs have, for example, an inner hole with a diameter of 50 millimeters, so that it can be provided that the dimensions of the bar are such that the bar can be inserted through this inner hole or the training disc can be placed on the bar. At least a first attachment option and a second attachment option for a handle are arranged on the spar. Of course, more than two mounting options for the handle, for example three or four mounting options, can be provided. This makes further customization possible.

The spar can be connected to the base plate by means of a bayonet catch and/or spot welds. The spar can also be tubular with a wall thickness of at least 2 millimeters or consist of solid material.

In one embodiment, the spar and the bottom plate each have a circular cross-section. A first outside diameter of the bottom plate is larger than a second outside diameter of the spar. This makes it easy to put on weights.

In one embodiment, the first outer diameter is at least 100 millimeters and at most 200 millimeters. Furthermore, the base plate has a thickness of at least 5 millimeters. This enables a stable base plate that can mechanically withstand additional weight.

In one embodiment, the second outer diameter is at least 48 and at most 49.5 millimeters. Training discs typically have an inner hole with a diameter of 50 millimeters, so that such dimensions of the bar are well suited for placing additional training discs on the dumbbell.
