Es kommt vorzugsweise ein 3 D - Drucker für die Herstellung des P - Imitats (1) zum Einsatz. Jede andere technische oder handwerkliche Fertigung ist möglich.

A prostate-like shape was modeled from the silicone polymer, which roughly corresponds to the dimensions of the prostate removed during surgery. The dimensions can be adjusted / changed. In the middle of the P. imitation ( 1 ) there is a channel ( 2 ), which by an extended longitudinal section ( 3 ) can be opened. At the two ends / poles ( 4th ) the channel ends ( 2 ) similar to a funnel ( 5 ) to prevent rubbing of the ureter. The diameter of the duct ( 2 ) is about 3 - 5 mm.

The modeled form of the P. imitation ( 1 ) is based on a rib shape ( 6th ). It guarantees that the weight of the plastic mass has been kept as low as possible.

The utility model application relates to all other P. imitations that differ in size, shape and material used, from the original described in the utility model application and from the drawing.

Use of the innovation

The P. imitation ( 1 ) offers the possibility of preventing the reset described above, if the surgeon undertakes appropriate clarification in connection with the diagnosis.

If there is agreement between the person concerned and the doctor about an extended operation, the surgeon must prepare the operation in such a way that immediately after the removal of the affected prostate (e.g. due to carcinoma) the P. imitation ( 1 ) is implanted / inserted.

This can be done on the slightly extended longitudinal section ( 3 ) leading to the channel ( 2 ) of P. - imitation ( 1 ), be opened slightly (closes again) in order to insert the ureter into the canal ( 2 ) of P. - imitation ( 1 ). It can be assumed that no further fastening has to be carried out. The P. imitation ( 1 ) thus only fills the space of the distant prostate and encloses the ureter just like the prostate, but without a closing function.

Risks of innovation

The practical operating room, a P. imitation ( 1 ) as a replacement in place of the diseased and removed prostate has not yet been carried out according to current knowledge. However, it can be assumed that an experienced surgeon who removes the prostate will also perform the relatively uncomplicated placement of the P. imitation ( 1 ) can perform without complications.
