Description

The invention relates to a seat arrangement for a vehicle. Furthermore, the invention shows a belt system for a vehicle, which is used in particular in the seat arrangement.

The seating arrangement described here is used in particular in motorhomes. The state of the art shows different seats in motorhomes, for example designed for one, two or three people. However, these benches cannot be expanded in a simple and practical way, for example from a two-seater bench to a three-seater bench.

It is an object of the present invention to provide a seat arrangement which, with simple handling and safe use, enables an additional seat to be added to a seat. Furthermore, a belt system is to be specified that can be used in particular for such a seat arrangement.

This object is achieved by the features of the independent claims. The dependent claims have advantageous refinements of the invention.

The object is thus achieved by a seat arrangement for a vehicle. The vehicle is preferably a motorhome. The motorhome can also be called a recreational vehicle, camper, caravan, trailer, etc.

The seating arrangement according to the invention comprises a bench and an additional seat. The additional seat can be arranged on the seat. The seat without the additional seat can be designed for one or more people. It is preferably (without an additional seat) a one, two or three-seat bench. A “seat direction” is defined to describe the invention. The direction of the seat is horizontal and essentially corresponds to the direction of view of the person sitting on the seat or the additional seat. With a seat facing forward, the seat direction corresponds to the direction of travel. The seating direction is essentially perpendicular to the backrest and parallel to the seat.

The bench includes a backrest and a seating area for the buttocks of the user. Accordingly, the additional seat also has an additional backrest and an additional seating area.

The additional backrest in turn comprises a first additional frame. The first additional frame can represent the entire additional backrest and accordingly can also include, for example, the upholstery of the additional backrest. In an advantageous embodiment described here in detail, however, the first additional frame is supplemented by a second additional frame, so that the two additional frames together represent the additional backrest.

The first additional frame of the additional backrest is connected to the seat in a linearly displaceable manner. To use the additional seat, the first additional frame can be pulled out of the seat. The first additional frame can be pushed back into the seat to stow the additional seat. The first additional frame is linearly displaceable, in particular, perpendicular to the seat direction. In particular, the inserted first additional frame is accommodated in the backrest of the seat and is pulled out of the seat correspondingly to the side of the backrest of the seat.

The additional seating area is preferably arranged to be foldable or displaceable on the bench seat independently of the additional backrest. In a very simple embodiment, it is also possible for the additional seating area not to be connected to the seat when the additional seat is stowed, but to be stowed elsewhere. It is preferably provided that the first additional frame comprises two parallel, linearly guided horizontal struts and at least one connecting strut. The two horizontal struts are linearly movable in the seat. For example, these are rods with a round cross section, which are guided in corresponding tubes of the seat. The connecting strut connects the two free ends of the horizontal struts. The first additional frame can be gripped, for example, on the connecting strut for pulling out and pushing in.

As already mentioned, it is preferably provided that the additional backrest comprises a second additional frame, which can be mounted on the extended first additional frame for using the additional seat and can be removed again for stowing the additional seat. Padding for the additional backrest is preferably arranged on the second additional frame. Additionally or alternatively, the second additional frame comprises a headrest.

The second additional frame can preferably be attached to both horizontal struts. This means that in the assembled state, the second additional frame is connected directly to the first horizontal strut and to the second horizontal strut.

The connection between the second additional frame and the first additional frame (in particular the two horizontal struts) is designed in particular in such a way that it can be assembled and disassembled without tools. Four connecting elements are particularly preferably provided on the second additional frame. A belt buckle is preferably arranged on the first additional frame. In particular, the belt buckle is located on the free end of one of the two horizontal struts or on the connecting strut. Preferably, a closure is provided on the first additional frame or on the additional seating area, which enables a connection between the first additional frame and the additional seating area that can be released without tools, for example, snapping into place. The belt system includes a bench with backrest and seating area. The belt system preferably comprises the seat arrangement described above with a seat and additional seat. However, the belt system can also be used on any other bench.

The belt system comprises two three-point belts. These two three-point belts are particularly preferably located on one side of the seat on which the additional seat can be arranged. The two three-point belts each have a belt retractor and an associated belt strap. A lock tongue is preferably located on the belt. This tongue can be inserted into a corresponding belt buckle of the respective three-point belt.

With conventional three-point belts, a separate deflector is provided for each belt. However, a double deflector is used in the belt system according to the invention. The double deflector is designed to deflect the two belt straps. The two belt straps extend from the respective belt retractor from upwards and through the double deflector to the front of the backrest. From the belt retractor to the double deflector, the belt straps preferably extend inside or behind the seat or backrest. The double deflector is arranged on an upper area of the backrest or above or next to the backrest and guides the two belt straps to the front of the backrest. On the front of the backrest there is a lock tongue on each of the belt straps.

According to the invention it is provided that the two belt straps are guided in an overlapping manner in the double deflector. When not in use, the two belt straps are on top of each other on the front of the backrest and the visual impression is that there is only one belt strap.
