Der Grund ist, dass diese Warnsignale schlecht wahrnehmbar sind: Innengeräusche im Fahrzeug, Radio, Lüftung, Klimaanlage, Gespräche, Fahrgeräusche und vieles Andere mehr übertönen die Warn-Singnale der Rettungsfahrzeuge. Ausserdem weiss kein Fahrzeugführer wo sich der RTW aufhält. Vor mir, hinter mir, rechts oder links. Beim Versuch ihn in den Rückspiegeln zu finden, ist eine grosse Gefahr, der Fahrer wendet sich komplett vom Geschehen vor ihm ab. Handi am Ohr, neinl Rück - und Aussenspiegel suchen, ja? Meistens nimmt man die Rettungsfahrzeuge erst wahr, wenn sie an Einem selbst vorbei fahren. Zur Ergänzung müssen alle anderen am Strassenverkehr teilnehmende Fahrzeuge mit einem Empfangsgerät ausgerüstet werden, das die Funksignale vom Retungsfahrzeug empfängt und in akustische und optische Signale im Blickfeld des Fahrzeugführers anzeigt. Dadurch wird konsequent jeder Fahrzeugführer rechtzeitig gewarnt und kann, muss, entsprechend reagieren.
