Abstract

The Entdeckerturm children's chair combination (hereinafter EKK called) is a functional learning tower that can be transformed into a children's chair with two handles and converted to a suitable children's chair with variable seat height adjustment for older children and is characterized in that the folding dining table (pos. 8) is pivotally mounted.

Description

The combination furniture "Entdeckerturm-Kinderstuhl" is a piece of furniture that can be used by children from 1 to 5 years old.

The state of the art occasionally offered parents only single furniture for the two options "discover" and "high chair" as a purchase option. The invention of this combination furniture saves money, space and effort and thus represents a further development of the previously offered on the market dar. Furthermore, no special craftsmanship skill for assembly and later re-working is required. Combination furniture which is already available on the market, according to the toy directive and the resulting standards for mechanical and physical properties, does not provide sufficient security for the robustness and thus the safety of the children.

Thus, the invention not only solves an existing problem of ease of use - a mother with the toddler on her arm can transform the explorer tower into a high chair with only one free hand - but also withstands the requirements of the legally applicable test methods.

In its first phase of life, the discovery tower offers two features. The first feature is the use as a discovery tower, in which the toddlers can independently on low-mounted steps (Pos.2 and 3) can get onto the pedestal. As a protection against falling out and as grips for holding serve the large side panels (Pos.1), as well as the front and rear latches (Pos.4 and 5). The tower is so large that it allows the children to be active in a comfortable working (standing) height of kitchen worktops, sinks, dining tables. The second feature is the use as a baby chair, which is done with two handles. In the second phase of life of the combination furniture, when the child has already grown older and grown, the seat board (Pos.6) and the folding board (Pos.8) can be removed and the seat board (Pos.6) change to the required height. For this purpose, in the two side parts (Pos.1) already enough holes are pre-drilled (Pos.a). Thus, the slightly larger children can also dwell on the dining table by the adjusted seat height.

A final but not insignificant important criterion is the hygienic and washable material from which the Entdeckerturm children's chair combination is made that according to the Toy Safety Directive does not allow any health concerns.

The EKK is, according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the seat board (Pos.6) is adjustable in height and thus serves as a seating board for older children.
