2. Materials

• a) Die Holzverstärkungen befinden sich im Bereich der Motorhalterung sowie in linker und rechter Seite, unmittelbar am Heck angrenzend, AII und AIII lit. l und AI und AII lit. k.
• b) Aus Edelstahl bestehen sämtliche Beschläge, Scharniere, Haken, Ösen, die Reling, die Schutzkante an der Kiellinie sowie der Verschlussmechanismus.
• c) Gummi wurde in Bereichen Auflage und Fixierung der Sitzbretter, umlaufende Abdichtung der Bootschalen sowie kreisrund im Bereich des Zusammenklappens verbaut.
• d) Aus Kunststoffen bestehen der Schutz der Bootsoberfläche im Bereich der Motorhalterung, die kreisrunden Deckel der Aufbewahrungsboxen (AII lit. i) sowie die roten Schutzkappen des Verschlussspanners – Edelstahl-Verschluss-Spanner von Ganter Griff, GN 853 TG.

3. Folding mechanism / technical name

• a) Die zwei Scharniere – AI und AII lit. a – ermöglichen das Auf- und Zusammenklappen des Bootes. Hierfür müssen die am Heck montierten Hebelverschlüsse geöffnet sein – AIV lit. e, welche das Bugteil mittels eines Bügels/Hebels am Heckteil fixieren. Sodann lässt sich das Boot mit Muskelkraft auf- und zusammenklappen, indem man das Bugteil anhebt und aufklappt oder beim Zuklappen das Bugteil auf das Heckteil legt. Die Klappkante ist für ein problemloses Öffnen und Schließen abgeschrägt.
• Für den Transport sind sodann die am Heck montierten 2 Hebelverschlüsse – AIV lit. e – am aufliegenden Bugteil einzuhängen und zu schließen. Für das Aufklappen des Bootes müssen die Hebelverschlüsse in lit. e wieder geöffnet werden.
• b) Um das Klappboot auf dem Wasser nutzen zu können sind im ausgeklappten Zustand die zwei Bootshälften 2-fach in Höhe der Klappkante zu fixieren und gegen ein unbeabsichtigtes Öffnen zu sichern. Dazu sollen die seitlich in Höhe der Bootsmitte außen angebrachten Verschlussspanner aus Edelstahl unter Bezugnahme auf die Bildabfolge AII, AIII und AIV lit. b geschlossen und verriegelt werden. Das Schließen dieser Verschlussspanner hat im ausgeklappten Zustand in jedem Fall vor dem Benutzen als Boot, idealerweise noch auf dem Anhänger befindlich, zu erfolgen. Die verwendeten Edelstahl-Verschluss-Spanner gewähren eine Verbundenheit von Heck und Bug mit engem Spaltmaß.
• c) Beim Zuklappen des Bootes sind die 2 Verschlussspanner zu entriegeln und zu lösen. Damit ist das Bugteil wieder frei beweglich. Beim Zuklappen für den Transport auf dem Anhänger soll die Entriegelung und Lösung des Verschlussspanners idealerweise erst erfolgen, nachdem das Bugteil die Transportposition auf dem Anhänger erreicht hat.
• d) Das Ver-/Entriegeln der Verschlussspanner jeweils auf dem Anhänger erleichtert das ein-/ausslippen sowie das Klappen des Bootes. Zudem können diese Vorgänge seitlich zum Anhänger und auf dem Land stehend ausgeführt werden.

4. Development / technical obstacles / innovative performance

a) problems

b) Troubleshooting

• i) Der Klappmechanismus erlaubt die Nutzung eines standardmäßigen PKW-Anhängers für den Bootstransport. Ein doppelter Nutzen des Anhängers für den Verbraucher – ohne zwingenden Bootsbezug – ist damit gewährleistet.
• ii) Es wurde eine Bauform erreicht, die ausgeklappt strömungsgünstig als Boot (breites Heck, schmaler Bug) als auch raumökonomisch als Transportbox (zwei rechteckige Flächen übereinander) im zugeklappten Zustand funktioniert. Besonderer Wert wurde auf eine ebene Schiffsunterseite und auf die Maßgenauigkeit/Bündigkeit im zugeklappten Zustand gelegt.
• iii) Für optionale Aufbauten (z. B. Sonnenschutz) vorgesehene kreisrunde Öffnungen in der Bootsmitte wurden nicht durchgängig bis zum Boden ausgeführt. Es kann kein Wasser hierdurch nach oben dringen.
• iv) Eine bessere Steifigkeit im ausgeklappten Zustand wurde durch eine rechteckige Aussparung am Heckteil und eine flächenmäßig entsprechende rechteckige erhabene Gestaltung des Bugteiles erreicht.
• v) Eine möglichst bündige Verbindung der beiden Bootshälften im ausgeklappten Zustand wurde durch leichtes Abschrägen der Klappkante und vor allem durch die Anordnung des Verschlussmechanismus an der Außenseite (AIV lit. e und AI lit. a) erreicht.
• Durch diese Anordnung des Verschlussmechanismus konnte gleichzeitig die Schiffsunterseite strömungsgünstig eben und ohne Hohlräume für etwaige Teile des Verschlussmechanismus oder den etwaigen Zugang zum Verschlussmechanismus gestaltet werden.
• vi) Eine möglichst stabile und sichere Verbindung der beiden Bootshälften wurde durch die Verwendung eines nach Industriestandard entwickelten Verschlussmechanismus (Ganter Griff GN 853 TG – Edelstahl-Verschluss-Spanner) erreicht, dessen Haltekraft 4000 N beträgt. Der eingesetzte Edelstahl-Verschluss-Spanner der Firma Ganter Griff ist mit einer Verriegelungsmechanik versehen, die unbeabsichtigtes oder durch Vibrationen ausgelöstes Öffnen des Verschlussspanners ausschließt. Zudem bietet dieser Verschluss-Spanner die Möglichkeit der Bedienung mit nur einer Hand.

• c) Die Nutzung des Klappbootes ist für den potentiellen Kunden gerade derart einfach gehalten, dass die Nutzung mittels Piktogrammen erklärt werden kann. In der Bedienungsanleitung wird sich ein weiteres Piktogramm mit kurzen Erläuterungen für die zwei Verschlussspanner befinden.

• vi) The most stable and secure connection between the two halves of the boat has been achieved through the use of an industry-standard locking mechanism (Ganter handle GN 853 TG - stainless steel buckle tensioner) with a holding force of 4000N.
