Description

The invention relates to a finger blade for inserting seedlings and flower bulbs in the soil as planting aid in gardening, which is provided at a front portion with a sharpened grave part for digging a plant hole.

Known planting aids for setting seedlings and flower bulbs are commonly referred to as planters. They usually consist of a grave part and an integrally formed or attached handle or stem. The grave part is designed as a slim conical metal tip. The metal tip penetrates into the soil and forms a hole for the plant. Such a planter is usually provided with a straight or obliquely seated on the metal tip handle, the entire planting aid can be formed including its handle made of sheet steel. There are also T-shaped handles known to allow better handling in gardening.

However, the structural design of the known planters with a handle is unsuitable for fatigue-free working and pleasant handling. The finger blade is intended for planting seedlings and flower bulbs in the soil as a planting aid in gardening. It has at a front portion a sharpened grave part for digging a plant hole and at a rear portion of a handle portion for holding the finger blade in their use. The finger blade according to the invention is characterized in that the digging part and the handle part consist of a continuous plate, the grave part is a blade plate with a tip and the handle part is a holding plate with an opposite end of the tip bent downwards. At least one retaining eye for the fingers is attached to the retaining plate with which the finger blade can be securely guided by the hand.

The tip of the grave part is triangular in shape and can thus be easily pressed into the ground and form a hole for the plant. This form is also particularly suitable for peeling plants out of plant pots.

To stabilize the grave part, this has a running from the tip to the handle bead. At the handle part advantageously two eyelets are attached, which provide good grip through the fingers. On them, a protective plate is applied, which offers a partial finger protection. This protective plate can be designed as a decorative plate.

All parts of the finger guard are suitably made of metal. This gives the finger protection the necessary stability and a long durability.
