Des weiteren eignen sich auch Polykondensatfaser auf Basis Melamin und analogen Produkten als auch, bis zu einem gewissen Grad, flammhemmend ausgerüstete Naturfasern wie beispielsweise Baumwolle, Leinen, Flachs, Sisal, Hanf, Capok, aber auch Wolle und analoge Tierhaare. Das Textile Material erhöht einerseits deutlich die Reißfestigkeit, insbesondere die Weiterreißfestigkeit des Leders und ermöglich gleichzeitig eine Kosteneinsparung durch die Verwendung noch dünneren Ledern.
