Das Haustechnikgerät weist ferner mindestens einen Temperatursensor zum Erfassen einer Temperatur im Bereich des Heizblockes sowie eine Steuereinheit zum Ein- und Ausschalten des Heizkörpers in einer Normalbetriebsart oder Heizbetriebsart und zum Erfassen der von dem mindestens einen Temperatursensor gemessenen Temperatur. Die Steuereinheit ist in einer Verkalkungserfassungsbetriebsart ferner dazu ausgestaltet, mittels des Temperatursensors die Temperatur in oder an dem Heizblock zu erfassen, um die Temperatur des Wassers in dem Kanal zu bestimmen. Die erfasste Temperatur wird mit einem Referenzwert verglichen und eine Verkalkung wird durch die Steuereinheit erfasst, wenn die erfasste Temperatur von dem Referenzwert abweicht.Thus, a domestic appliance, in particular an electric water heater is provided which has at least one heating block with at least one radiator and at least one water-carrying channel.
