The invention relates to a packaging container, comprising a bottom part forming a bottom wall and a jacket part which can be folded from a storage position in which the casing part is folded into a position of use in which it occupies a larger space than in the storage position and one on the bottom wall erected and enclosing with this one packaging space jacket of the packaging container.

Such a packaging container is for example from the DE 20 2008 003 442 U1 known. The casing part of the packaging container is folded in a storage position, so that the packaging container can be stored space-saving. Object of the present invention is to provide a packaging container of the type mentioned, which can be handled in a simpler manner.

This object is achieved in a generic packaging container according to the invention in that a first side wall of the shell part is fixed by means of at least one fastening member on the bottom wall and pivotally relative thereto.

As a side wall in the present case, a wall of the shell part is considered, which forms a side wall of the packaging container in its position of use. In the packaging container according to the invention, a side wall of the casing part, which is referred to below as the first side wall, is fixed movably on the bottom wall by means of at least one fastening member. The first side wall and thus the jacket part are thereby held captive on the bottom part. This makes it easier for a user to handle the packaging container, since the casing part and the bottom part are in a defined relative relationship to one another even when unfolding the casing part from the storage position to the use position. Preferably, the retaining tab extends along the entire lower edge of the first side wall, especially along the entire lower edge of the first side wall.
