Claims (28)
1. Haptisches Rückkopplungsgerät in Verbindung mit einem Host-
Computer, der ein Host-Anwendungsprogramm implementiert, wobei das Gerät
umfasst:
ein Gehäuse, das von dem Benutzer physisch berührt wird,
ein mit dem Gehäuse des Gerätes verbundenes Sensorgerät, wobei das Sensorgerät eine Bewegung eines Manipulationsobjektes oder des Gehäuses erfasst und die Bewegung repräsentierende Sensorsignale ausgibt, und
einen mit dem Gehäuse des taktilen Rückkopplungsgerätes verbundenen Aktor, wobei der Aktor betrieben wird, um eine Trägheitskraft auszugeben, wobei die Trägheitskraft durch die Bewegung einer Trägheitsmasse erzeugt wird, wobei die Trägheitskraft über das Gehäuse auf den das Gehäuse berührenden Benutzer übertragen wird, und
ein Energiespeicherelement, das mit dem Gehäuse verbunden ist und dem Aktor und dem Sensorgerät Energie liefert, wobei das Energiespeicherelement trägheitsmäßig von dem Gehäuse entkoppelt ist, um die Masse des haptischen Rückkopplungsgerätes in Bezug auf die Trägheitsmasse zu verringern und dadurch zu ermöglichen, dass für eine gegebene Größe der Trägheitsmasse stärkere haptische Empfindungen von dem Benutzer wahrgenommen werden.

ein Energiespeicherelement, das mit dem Gehäuse verbunden ist und dem Aktor und dem Sensorgerät Energie liefert, wobei das Energiespeicherelement trägheitsmäßig von dem Gehäuse entkoppelt ist, um die Masse des haptischen Rückkopplungsgerätes in Bezug auf die Trägheitsmasse zu verringern und dadurch zu ermöglichen, dass für eine gegebene Größe der Trägheitsmasse stärkere haptische Empfindungen von dem Benutzer wahrgenommen werden.
2. Haptisches Rückkopplungsgerät gemäß Anspruch 1, wobei das
Energiespeicherelement mindestens eine Batterie ist.
3. Haptisches Rückkopplungsgerät gemäß Anspruch 2, wobei das
Energiespeicherelement durch eine nachgiebige Schicht oder ein Teil mit dem
Gehäuse verbunden ist.
4. Haptisches Rückkopplungsgerät gemäß Anspruch 3, wobei die
nachgiebige Schicht oder das Teil eine Schaumschicht ist, die zwischen die
mindestens eine Batterie und das Gehäuse gekoppelt ist.
5. Haptisches Rückkopplungsgerät gemäß Anspruch 4, weiterhin mit einem
Befestigungsteil, das zwischen den Schaum und die Batterie gekoppelt ist, wobei die
Batterie von dem Benutzer von dem Befestigungsteil abgetrennt werden kann.
6. Haptisches Rückkopplungsgerät gemäß Anspruch 1, wobei die
nachgiebige Schicht oder das Teil ein Federteil ist.
7. Haptisches Rückkopplungsgerät gemäß Anspruch 4, wobei die Batterie
wiederaufladbar ist.
8. Haptisches Rückkopplungsgerät gemäß Anspruch 4, weiterhin mit einem
mit dem Gehäuse verbundenen und elektrisch mit der mindestens einen Batterie
verbundenen Anschluss, wobei der Anschluss zur Verbindung mit einem Ladegerät
geeignet ist, um es der Batterie zu ermöglichen, wiederaufgeladen zu werden, wenn
die Energie aus der Batterie abgeflossen ist.
9. Haptisches Rückkopplungsgerät gemäß Anspruch 1, wobei die
Sensorsignale dem Host-Computer über eine kabellose Übertragung geliefert werden
und wobei das haptische Rückkopplungsgerät über einen kabellosen Empfang
Informationen von dem Host empfängt.
10. Haptisches Rückkopplungsgerät gemäß Anspruch 9, wobei die kabellose
Übertragung und der Empfang durch Funksignale implementiert ist.
11. Haptisches Rückkopplungsgerät gemäß Anspruch 1, wobei die
Trägheitsmasse mit einem harmonischen Ansteuersignal harmonisch oszilliert wird.
12. Haptisches Rückkopplungsgerät gemäß Anspruch 1, wobei die
Trägheitsmasse linear bewegt wird.
13. Haptisches Rückkopplungsgerät gemäß Anspruch 1, wobei die
Trägheitsmasse eine sich drehende exzentrische Masse ist.
14. Haptisches Rückkopplungsgerät gemäß Anspruch 1, wobei der Aktor als
die Trägheitsmasse bewegt wird.
15. Haptisches Rückkopplungsgerät gemäß Anspruch 14, wobei der Aktor
mit einem Biegeteil verbunden ist, wobei das Biegeteil mindestens zwei flexible
Verbindungen enthält.
16. Haptisches Rückkopplungsgerät gemäß Anspruch 1, wobei das
haptische Rückkopplungsgerät ein Gamepad ist.
17. Haptisches Rückkopplungsgerät gemäß Anspruch 16, wobei der Aktor
ein erster Aktor ist und die Trägheitsmasse eine erste Trägheitsmasse ist und
weiterhin enthaltend einen zweiten Aktor, der eine zweite Trägheitsmasse bewegt,
wobei der erste und der zweite Aktor in Verbindung betrieben werden.
18. Haptisches Rückkopplungsgerät gemäß Anspruch 1, wobei das
haptische Rückkopplungsgerät eine Maus ist.
19. Haptisches Rückkopplungsgerät gemäß Anspruch 18, wobei der Aktor
die Trägheitskraft entlang einer zu einer ebenen Arbeitsfläche der Maus im
Wesentlichen rechtwinkligen z-Achse ausgibt.
20. Haptisches Rückkopplungsgerät gemäß Anspruch 19, wobei die
Trägheitskraft mit einer auf dem Host-Computer dargestellten graphischen
Wiedergabe in Bezug gesetzt wird, wobei eine Position der Maus in der ebenen
Arbeitsfläche einer Position eines in der Graphikwiedergabe dargestellten Zeigers
entspricht.
21. Haptisches Rückkopplungsgerät in Verbindung mit einem ein Host-
Anwendungsprogramm implementierenden Host-Computer, wobei das Gerät aufweist:
ein Gehäuse, das von dem Benutzer physisch berührt wird,
ein mit dem Gehäuse des Gerätes verbundenes Sensorgerät, wobei das Sensorgerät eine Bewegung eines Manipulationsobjektes oder des Gehäuses erfasst und die Bewegung repräsentierende Sensorsignale ausgibt und
einen mit dem Gehäuse des taktilen Rückkopplungsgerätes verbundenen Aktor, wobei der Aktor betrieben wird, um durch die Bewegung einer Trägheitsmasse eine Trägheitskraft auf den das Gehäuse berührenden Benutzer auszugeben, und
ein durch eine nachgiebige Schicht oder ein Teil mit dem Gehäuse verbundenes Bauteil, wobei das Bauteil trägheitsmäßig von dem Gehäuse entkoppelt ist, um die Masse des haptischen Rückkopplungsgerätes in Bezug auf die Trägheitsmasse zu reduzieren, wodurch es ermöglicht wird, dass stärkere haptische Empfindungen von dem Benutzer wahrgenommen werden.
ein Gehäuse, das von dem Benutzer physisch berührt wird,
ein mit dem Gehäuse des Gerätes verbundenes Sensorgerät, wobei das Sensorgerät eine Bewegung eines Manipulationsobjektes oder des Gehäuses erfasst und die Bewegung repräsentierende Sensorsignale ausgibt und
einen mit dem Gehäuse des taktilen Rückkopplungsgerätes verbundenen Aktor, wobei der Aktor betrieben wird, um durch die Bewegung einer Trägheitsmasse eine Trägheitskraft auf den das Gehäuse berührenden Benutzer auszugeben, und
ein durch eine nachgiebige Schicht oder ein Teil mit dem Gehäuse verbundenes Bauteil, wobei das Bauteil trägheitsmäßig von dem Gehäuse entkoppelt ist, um die Masse des haptischen Rückkopplungsgerätes in Bezug auf die Trägheitsmasse zu reduzieren, wodurch es ermöglicht wird, dass stärkere haptische Empfindungen von dem Benutzer wahrgenommen werden.
22. Haptisches Rückkopplungsgerät gemäß Anspruch 20, wobei das Bauteil
ein Energiespeicherelement ist.
23. Haptisches Rückkopplungsgerät gemäß Anspruch 21, wobei die
nachgiebige Schicht oder das Teil eine Schaumschicht ist, die zwischen das
Energiespeicherelement und das Gehäuse gekoppelt ist.
24. Haptisches Rückkopplungsgerät gemäß Anspruch 20, wobei die
Sensorsignale dem Hostcomputer über eine kabellose Übertragung geliefert werden
und wobei das haptische Rückkopplungsgerät über einen kabellosen Empfang
Informationen von dem Host empfängt.
25. Haptisches Rückkopplungsgerät gemäß Anspruch 20, wobei die
Trägheitsmasse mit einem harmonischen Ansteuersignal harmonisch oszilliert wird.
26. Haptisches Rückkopplungsgerät gemäß Anspruch 20, wobei die
Trägheitsmasse rotatorisch bewegt wird.
27. Haptisches Rückkopplungsgerät gemäß Anspruch 20, wobei der Aktor
als die Trägheitsmasse bewegt wird.
28. Taktiles Rückkopplungsgerät in Verbindung mit einem ein Host-
Anwendungsprogramm implementierenden Host-Computer, wobei das takfiile
Rückkopplungsgerät aufweist:
ein handhabbares Objekt, das von dem Benutzer physisch berührt und bewegt wird,
Erfassungsmittel zur Erfassung der Bewegung des handhabbaren Objektes, wobei das Erfassungsmittel die Bewegung repräsentierende Sensorsignale ausgibt, wobei eine Position oder Bewegung des handhabbaren Objektes aus den Sensorsignalen bestimmt und von dem Host-Computer verwendet wird, und
Krafterzeugungsmittel zur Erzeugung einer Trägheitskraft in Bezug auf ein Trägheitsfundament, wobei die Trägheitskraft durch Oszillieren einer Trägheitsmasse annähernd entlang der Achse in Bezug auf das Gehäuse erzeugt wird, wobei die Trägheitskraft über das Gehäuse auf den das Gehäuse berührenden Benutzer übertragen wird, und
Energiemittel zur Bereitstellung von Energie für das Krafterzeugungsmittel, wobei das Energiemittel trägheitsmäßig von einem Gehäuse des taktilen Rückkopplungsgerätes entkoppelt ist, um die Masse des taktilen Rückkopplungsgerätes in Bezug auf die Trägheitsmasse zu reduzieren, wodurch es ermöglicht wird, dass stärkere haptische Empfindungen von dem Benutzer wahrgenommen werden.

Erfassungsmittel zur Erfassung der Bewegung des handhabbaren Objektes, wobei das Erfassungsmittel die Bewegung repräsentierende Sensorsignale ausgibt, wobei eine Position oder Bewegung des handhabbaren Objektes aus den Sensorsignalen bestimmt und von dem Host-Computer verwendet wird, und
Krafterzeugungsmittel zur Erzeugung einer Trägheitskraft in Bezug auf ein Trägheitsfundament, wobei die Trägheitskraft durch Oszillieren einer Trägheitsmasse annähernd entlang der Achse in Bezug auf das Gehäuse erzeugt wird, wobei die Trägheitskraft über das Gehäuse auf den das Gehäuse berührenden Benutzer übertragen wird, und
Energiemittel zur Bereitstellung von Energie für das Krafterzeugungsmittel, wobei das Energiemittel trägheitsmäßig von einem Gehäuse des taktilen Rückkopplungsgerätes entkoppelt ist, um die Masse des taktilen Rückkopplungsgerätes in Bezug auf die Trägheitsmasse zu reduzieren, wodurch es ermöglicht wird, dass stärkere haptische Empfindungen von dem Benutzer wahrgenommen werden.
