These entrained particles are therefore uncomfortable for particularly sensitive allergic persons because their diameters are so small that they can not be completely filtered out by the dust retention systems in the human airways, and thus can enter the respiratory tract and even the lungs. For hypersensitive allergy sufferers therefore not every air scrubber is effective enough.

This beneficial effect also occurs in older people and other mammals and also strengthens their immune system noticeably. It is therefore known to provide allergy sufferers with a certain dose of colostrum, z. B. as a dietary food.

It is advantageous that the required amounts are very small, since only so much of the drug must be administered that the immune system recognizes him at all and then triggers a corresponding situation.

Colostrum has practically no effect on normally sensitive persons since their immune system has already undergone the corresponding training phase. If they are given Colostrum, it does not have any side effects for them.

For the distribution of substances in the air of a room, numerous devices are known. An example is the so-called "fragrance distributor" of DE 20 2008 006 679 , which consists of a motor-driven blower that pushes the room air through a container that is filled with the appropriate drug.

The distribution of therapeutic agents in the room air with a distributor according to such a or a similar principle, however, is disadvantageous for the allergic person as a sole measure, since the sucked in room air house dust and other pollutant particles and stirs it together with the active ingredient of the respiratory air of the allergic patient add leads.

Against this background, the invention has the object of supplying people and other mammals with allergic symptoms antiallergic agents and to relieve them almost completely of allergens, with them being required as a contribution only to stay in a closed space.

As a solution, the invention teaches that the air scrubber has a container into which the liquid active substance can be filled and from which the liquid active substance can be introduced at least into a part of the exhaust air.

The core idea of the invention is therefore a device that allows the combination of different types of treatment for allergy sufferers, namely on the one hand, the removal of allergic agents ( Waivers) by these agents are disposed of as far as possible and on the other hand, the simultaneous supply of active ingredients with anti-allergic effect by being introduced at least into a part of the exhaust air of the device.

The inventive principle is suitable for any liquid antiallergic. In this case, those active substances are to be preferred which exert no noticeable adverse effect on non-allergic persons, so that the rooms used for inhalation can also be entered without restriction by persons other than the allergic users.

The invention will be described below with reference to the example of colostrum as a liquid, antiallergenic agent, since its effect is confirmed by a representative test. Since colostrum can reduce or even suppress acute allergic symptoms due to the large number of its constituents, as well as acting against the occurrence of allergic symptoms in the long term, all three known types of treatment for allergies in a single device and a single Combined process, namely paralysis of the allergens, acute symptom relief by appropriate drugs and longer-term immunization by meaningful active ingredients.

The significant efficacy of administering colostrum as an antiallergic agent was confirmed by an application test to 20 subjects under clinical conditions. All subjects were known to suffer from type I allergies.

Over a period of six weeks, they were exposed at least twice a week to the exhaust air stream of an air scrubber according to the invention, into which container 1.5 liters of water were added, which was provided with 15 ml of colostrum. The duration of the air scrubber was at least 30 minutes and the subjects were in the immediate vicinity of the device.

Since the cost of this first study did not allow a prolongation of the length of stay, the subjects were additionally given a small amount of colostrum daily orally. At the beginning of the test series, the 20 subjects complained of 13 times itching, 11 redness, 8 burning, 7 swelling and 6 tears. Sneezing 13 times, 11 times itching, 10 times constipation, 7 times running cold and 2 times blockage of the paranasal sinuses. At the conclusion of the 6-week test of the 20 subjects in their eyes only 8 times itching, 4 times redness, 3 times tears and 1 time swelling called. A particularly significant improvement occurred in 6 subjects from the second or third week, in 7 subjects from the third week and in a subject only from the fourth week. The other subjects could not make a point, and a particularly strong improvement would have been observed.

In general, 6 subjects said that their colds were reduced in particular. In 3 subjects, the eyes itching, sneezing and watery eyes have diminished.

16 of the 20 subjects confirmed that they did not experience any side effects during the study that could be linked to colostrum in any way. The other four volunteers identified nonspecific side effects such as some pustules on the skin, some loose hair and increased viscosity of bowel movements, as well as unspecified and quantified headaches. A relationship of these symptoms to the administration of colostrum could not be established, especially since the affected persons observed this phenomenon at other times.

Thus, for the colostrum, a significant effectiveness in terms of the invention has been confirmed. When quantitatively assessing the effectiveness of colostrum, it should always be noted that no reproducible side effects whatsoever could be detected, in which this active substance differs significantly from many other active substances.

This is especially important for the inhalation administration of the active substance according to the invention via the room air, since in everyday life the room air is in many cases taken up not only by the allergic patients, but also by other persons. The purified exhaust air generated by an air scrubber is thus used to supply active ingredients to the allergic person, which reduce or eliminate his discomfort and train and strengthen his immune system.

In any case, it is an essential feature of an air scrubber according to the invention that colostrum is thus distributed in the room air. In the simplest embodiment variant, the colostrum is filled into the container with the cleaning fluid of the air scrubber. As a cleaning fluid is used in most cases water. It is a major advantage of this method that the colostrum with all its components gets into the respiratory system and into the lungs of the allergic people. There it comes very fast in intensive contact with the blood corpuscles and thus to a very fast and thorough effect. This effect is much faster and more intense than when taken orally with the detour via the human digestive tract.

The inhalation effect is the more intense, the finer the colostrum is sprayed. Therefore, the invention proposes, as a further improved embodiment variant, that the colostrum is converted into an aerosol by an atomizer. For this purpose, the colostrum is not filled together with the cleaning liquid in a common container, but it is ever installed a separate container for the cleaning fluid and the colostrum. The atomizer may in a simple case be a nozzle in the air outlet duct of the air scrubber behind the filter. The nozzle is fed with colostrum from the separate container separate from the cleaning fluid. Due to the escaping air flow, a negative pressure develops in the nozzle, which draws small amounts of colostrum into the air and distributes them in the exhaust air.

In contrast, however, in the air scrubber according to the invention, the part of the exhaust air acted upon by colostrum should be aligned as directly as possible with the user so that the largest possible part can be inhaled and only the smallest possible proportion is reflected in the room.

Therefore, it makes sense that at least the part of the exhaust air acted upon by colostrum is inclined or oriented vertically relative to the base of the air scrubber. Due to the fact that the air flow runs obliquely or even vertically upwards, it reaches the height of the airways of the allergic persons, so that the colostrum constituents floating in the room air quickly reach the airways of the persons.

Consequently, the part of the exhaust air charged with colostrum should even be aligned as directly as possible with the user. For this he can z. B. be guided by a hose or a tube in the vicinity of the patient's face. From there, the path to the breathing holes is considerably shorter than from the surface on which the air scrubber stands.

In a very consistent refinement of this principle, especially for people with a pronounced allergy, the acted upon with colostrum part of the exhaust air can be passed through a hose to a breathing mask, which carries the user of the air scrubber. This ensures that the colostrum is inhaled almost completely and does not precipitate in the room or elsewhere, where it can no longer serve for allergy suppression.

Another very interesting embodiment of an air washer according to the invention is its additional use as a vacuum cleaner. The usual on the current state of the art vacuum cleaner, especially those with a dry filter that is possibly still heavily polluted, are unsuitable for use by allergy sufferers, since they usually do not dispose of the allergens almost to the extent required but instead stir up when sucking, but not completely take and in addition a large part of the exhaust air again.

Under this assumption of adequate dimensioning, an allergy patient is active by picking up house dust with a vacuum cleaner according to the principle of an air scrubber according to the invention in the sense of the first group of types of treatment, namely the avoidance of allergens, by ensuring that the presence of these particles continues is reduced. This prevents particles lying in corners and on the floor in air currents, such as those described in US Pat.
