Abstract

The preheating system for cold start of an engine run on vegetable oil has a heat exchanger (2) with an integrated spiral heating cartridge (12). The fuel system consists of a pre-feed circuit (3) from the fuel tank (9) to the heat exchanger and in which are located a fuel filter (10) and a check valve (11), and an additional fuel pump (4). A smaller second heating circuit (5) leads from the heat exchanger to the injection system (8) and in this are included the original fuel pump (6) and heating hose (1).

Description

The Problem of burning of plant oil in diesel engines exists in the higher viscosity and the higher one Flashpoint against over Diesel fuel. When plant oil is used as fuel without the viscosity to change z. B. by increasing the temperature, it comes earlier or later too damage at the injection system or injectors of the engine.

Claims (1)

With my invention it is achieved that the vegetable oil before the cold start of the engine by a power-driven airbag ( 1 ) directly in front of the injection system ( 8th ) is preheated to approx. 80 ° C. Furthermore, a heat exchanger ( 2 ) with built-in spiral heating cartridge ( 12 ) for use. The fuel system then consists of two circuits: a prefeed cycle ( 3 ) from the tank ( 9 ) to the heat exchanger ( 2 ) in which the original fuel filter ( 10 ) and a check valve ( 11 ) are located. The one with an additional fuel pump ( 4 ) is charged. The second smaller heating circuit ( 5 ) from the heat exchanger ( 2 ) to the injection system ( 8th ), in which the original fuel pump ( 6 ) and the heating hose ( 1 ) are located. The invention ensures that before a cold start the vegetable oil through the additional heating hose ( 1 ) and the spiral heating cartridge ( 12 ) in the heat exchanger ( 2 ) reaches the required temperature of about 80 ° C to the starting process. It is so long with the airbag ( 1 ) and the spiral heating cartridge ( 12 ) The rapeseed oil is heated until the engine is at operating temperature. Then switch on the heating hose ( 1 ) and spiral heating cartridge ( 12 ) Thermostat ( 7 ) controlled. After reaching the operating temperature, the existing heat of the injection system ( 8th ) on the engine through the return to the heat exchanger ( 2 ) used. The resulting gas formation is in the heat exchanger ( 2 ) and to the prefeed cycle ( 3 ) and back into the fuel tank ( 9 ).
