Abstract
Description
The The invention relates to an optoelectronic light grid for detecting objects in a surveillance area, being at a first end of the surveillance area an optoelectronic unit with at least two offset in time Light pulses emitting light emitter and at least two temporally offset activated light receiver are arranged while on the second side of the surveillance area a Lichtumlenkeinheit is arranged.
For example, they are on the edge of a danger zone of machine tools used to help people gain access to this danger area recognize and then give a warning or shutdown the trigger dangerous machine tool.
Opposite one Einweglichtgitter, in which at one edge side of the monitoring area more Light emitter and on the opposite Edge of the surveillance area several light receivers are each arranged along a line, the invention lies a reflection light grid based. In the case of the state of Technology known reflection light grids are in an optoelectronic Unit at one edge of the surveillance area along a line at a distance alternately light emitter and light receiver arranged. This is a light transmitter and a distance next to it arranged light receiver a couple working together. The light transmitter sends in this case Transmitted light beam in the surveillance area. The light beam meets after passing through the surveillance area to a Lichtumlenkeinheit, which is located on the opposite edge side of the surveillance area. In the deflection unit, the transmitted light beam is deflected several times and finally again offset by a defined amount of beam offset parallel in opposite Direction through the surveillance area returned to the optoelectronic unit. Since the light receiver in of the optoelectronic unit by the same beam spacing amount is offset as the returned from the Lichtumlenkeinheit back Light beam it applies to the light receiver belonging to this pair. Depending on the height of the surveillance area is it possible now several such light emitter / light receiver pairs along a line to arrange. During operation of the optoelectronic light grid, these become Couples are activated consecutively, so that the entire area of the surveillance area with light bundles linearly is occupied.
There the light emitter and light receiver at the reflection light grid together in the optoelectronic unit on one edge side of the monitored area are also on only one of the two edges of the surveillance area electrical installations necessary, reducing the installation effort and thus the costs are reduced.
Of the The term "light" is not limited to the visible light. Under "light" are common here electromagnetic radiation, ie UV light, IR light and visible To understand light, which is usually for the Operation of optoelectronic sensors could be used.
There usually the emitted light beam emitted by the light transmitter spreads cone-shaped and the light receiver receives a received light beam, that is within a receive cone burst is a Disadvantage of such reflection light gratings in particular in the Danger that the cone-shaped Received light beam and the cone-shaped Transmitted light beam overlap within the surveillance area.
Already a partial overlap from transmitted light bundle and received light beams can cause an impairment the safe function of the light grid. Because would be in this divorce area of the two bundles within of the surveillance area For example, if there is a specular object, it could Transmitted light beam on the light receiver to be thrown back without the entire surveillance area was and would be illuminated thus falsely Create a free surveillance area pretend.
Out that's why the cone angle of the transmitted light bundle and the received light beam in dependence be dimensioned so closely from the respective beam spacing that an overlap within the surveillance area safely avoided.
These necessary restriction when using the reflection light grids requires either very low Cone angle of the two light bundles, which in turn is a high requirement for the adjustment of the optoelectronic Unit on the Lichtumlenkeinheit makes necessary or a large beam distance amount between the transmitted transmitted light beam and the received light beam.
The high requirement for the quality of adjustment is often undesirable because of the increased assembly costs and the structurally complex fastening technique. On the other hand, a large beam gap between the transmitted transmitted light beam and the received light beam causes possibly small objects that may be between the light bundles are not recognized.
Of the The invention is therefore based on the object, an optoelectronic Light grid of the type mentioned for detecting objects in a surveillance area to create, even with a small beam distance ensures safe operation, d. H. that small objects are detected, even though the transmitters and received light beams in the surveillance area do not overlap and yet one possible great degree of freedom is permitted during adjustment or assembly.
This object, the features of claim 1 are provided. According to the invention this Problem solved in particular by the fact that the two cooperating light emitter and light receiver in the optoelectronic unit is not directly in the longitudinal direction are arranged next to each other, but at least one in between Light transmitter or light receiver a further Lichtsender- / Lichtempfängerpaares is arranged. In the Lichtumlenkeinheit is the incident transmitted light bundle offset the beam spacing amount in parallel, which is the same size as the beam spacing amount the cooperating light emitter / receiver pair in the optoelectronic unit has held. Because the beam distance amount between the cooperating light emitter / receiver pair according to the invention thus at least twice as big as if the two cooperating light emitter / photoreceivers immediately would be arranged next to each other, can in this case, the cone angle of the transmitted light beam and of the received light beam at least twice the size be without the light beams overlap. This greatly facilitates the mutual adjustment, d. H. the orientation of the optoelectronic unit and Lichtumlenkeinheit. This according to the invention so doubled beam distance between has the two cooperating light transmitter / receiver however, no effect on the minimum size of the objects to be recognized in the surveillance area, because according to the invention in the longitudinal direction the optoelectronic unit between the two interacting Optical transmitter / receiver at least one light transmitter or light receiver of another light transmitter / light receiver pair is arranged. Would now a small object that is exactly between the first light emitter / receiver pair, due to the doubled beam spacing from the first light transmitter / receiver pair not detected, so would this from the other Lichtsender- / Lichtempfängerpaar, which temporally offset is active, detected. By this zipper-like arrangement the respective cooperating Lichtsender- / Lichtempfängerpaare is it thus possible larger cone angles of the transmitted light bundle and the received light beam to admit, d. H. the degree of freedom in the adjustment or assembly too increase and at the same time the secure detection of even small objects not to reduce.
