Abstract

The insulation element has two large surface areas (2,3) and four side faces (4,5). Fibre fleece elements (6) with two arms (7) connected by webs with the fibres running parallel to the outside faces are connected together at their outer faces (9) so that all the webs (8)of the elements are arranged in the region of one large surface (3). The two large surfaces have different transverse tensile strengths. The mineral fibres in the region of the web are arranged flat, inclined flat or inverse to the large surfaces.
