With regard to the prior art described above, a technical problem of the invention seen in a carpet brush attachment of Speech type in particular with regard to its handling to improve.
These Problematic is first and essentially solved by that two casters with respect of the tilting joint opposite are arranged and that in the direction of travel front to the to brush in any case, a roller is provided. According to this embodiment is a passive steering for a header created, which through the chosen arrangement, further in cooperation with the chosen one Arrangement of the roller results in a simplification of the handling. Thus, the tilting joint connection is preferred a header with respect to the breadth of the same center selected, this more preferably in the usual Traversing direction considered the rear edge area of the device. The two casters are according to the invention on both sides of the tilting joint and thus more preferably arranged on both sides of a longitudinal central axis of the device, this under even spacing to the central axis. This arrangement proves to be advantageous in that for this the desired Steering movement over the tilting joint connection forces acting on the attachment through the immediately adjacent but spaced apart from the axis of force of action Casters are effectively implemented. Preference will be given in this regard, that one of the axes of rotation of the castors and / or the pivot axes the casters receiving vertical plane the area of the tilting joint connection cuts. The further roller is arranged on the front side of the brush, the is called with reference to the usual Movement direction assigned to the front side of the device. This roller has in common Way a supporting one Function, but can also be steered or pivoted on the device be. According to the invention Rolls placed in the direction of travel end areas of the device, according to a safe support of the device reached on the floor to be cleaned or maintained, this with further improved handling, in particular with regard to the steerability of the device.
The subjects of the further claims are explained below in relation to the subject matter of claim 1, but may also be significant in their independent formulation. Thus, it is further proposed that the pivot roller projects beyond a portion of its peripheral edge a rear housing edge of the device both when moving the device in the direction of travel and in the opposite direction. Accordingly, the castor, in particular a portion of the same beyond the edge contour of the device, so further preferably via a lower, the bottom facing corner contour of the device housing in the rear, the tilting joint port facing area. According to this embodiment, with respect to the tilting joint oppositely arranged two casters can continue to serve as so-called sack trolley rollers for sliding or Zugverlagerung of the attachment and the vacuum cleaner connected thereto by tilting the casters. In this sack truck position the attachment is raised in the front area and can thereafter be conveniently moved over the arranged in the rear area casters. The sack truck function is given by the selected arrangement of the castors, in particular by the selected arrangement of the pivot axis of the same both in a shear displacement of the entire device in the direction of the usual travel direction and in the pulling direction, ie contrary to the usual direction of travel. The distance between a vertical pivot axis of the caster and a horizontal axis of rotation of the caster is white ter preferably at a radius of the impeller oriented, more preferably selected smaller than the impeller radius. In this regard, it also proves to be advantageous if a roller lining, as they are known, for example, in castors for office swivel chairs or the like, is dispensed with. In order to further improve the handling of the device in a Umschwenkbewegung the castors due to a change of direction, it is provided that the axial offset between the roller axis and steering axis is kept as low as possible. As an alternative to the aforementioned integrated sack truck function of the castors, it can be provided that, in addition to the castor, one or more sack carts associated with the rear edge of the housing are arranged, which in the working position of the device do not rest on the floor to be cleaned or maintained. These separate sack trolleys are fixed, ie non-swivel wheels. These are arranged so that they usually protrude rearwardly beyond the housing edge and in this case the lower, ie the floor to be maintained facing corner region of the device housing are arranged. Only tilting of the device to the rear, ie, lifting the front area, the sack trolley rollers come into operative position while the casters lose contact with the soil to be cared for. The caster may further consist of an impeller mounted on a turntable. The pivotability of this impeller is achieved in accordance with the turntable. Advantageously, by means of such a turntable with a low overall height, a relatively large storage area can be achieved. The pivot axis, in particular of the turntable in this case extends outside of the impeller, this at a selected ratio of impeller diameter to turntable diameter of about 1: 2 to 1:10. The offset of the pivot axis outward with respect to the impeller corresponds to the radius of the impeller or more, so on, for example, two to five times the impeller radius. The vertical height of the turntable is preferably oriented on the diameter of the impeller, which latter is also reduced in diameter to the separate sack cart roller. The latter can for example have a diameter which corresponds approximately to two to five times the diameter of the turntable-side impeller. It is further preferred that two rollers are provided in the front region of the device, which are also designed as fixed rollers. These two rollers are placed on both sides, uniformly spaced to a longitudinal center axis of the device. Particularly advantageous is an embodiment in which a roller is arranged approximately centrally with respect to a longitudinal extension of a Bür ste, according to which arranged in a preferred arrangement of two arranged on a common axis of rotation brushes according to two rollers each centrally associated with a brush.
