1877.1877. Klasse 51.Class 51. H. GRANTZOW in BERLIN. Ein im Discant verlängerter Resonanzboden an Klavieren.H. GRANTZOW in BERLIN. A soundboard on pianos extended in the discant. Patentirt im Deutschen Reiche vom il. November 1877 ab.Patented in the German Empire by il. November 1877. Um dem Discant eine den übrigen Tönen conforme Klangschönheit zu geben, hat der Erfinder bei Pianinos den Resonanzboden a (Fig. 1) vom Punkte c an in der ungefähren Bogenform des Steges h derart weitergeführt, dafs er am rechten Ende oberhalb des Steges 20 cm lang ist. (Bei Flügel- und Tafelformaten tritt eine Modification ein.) Der 30 cm breite Stimmstock d wird vom Punkt c an in der Bogenform des Resonanzbodens ausgeschnitten, so dafs rechts oben noch ca. 13 cm stehen bleiben. Unterhalb dieses Ausschnittes fällt die Füllung der Raste fort. Eine Eisenplatte / (Fig. 3) 20 cm breit, 1 cm stark, überbrückt diesen Ausschnitt. Sie wird in den Stimmstock in der ganzen Länge derart eingelassen, dafs oben eine Fläche von 10 cm Breite für die Wirbel k frei bleibt. Der obere Steg e ist auf der Eisenplatte angegossen. In der Platte sind vier Schalllöcher g angebracht. Die Druckleiste i wird auf der Eisenplatte befestigt.
