The present invention relates to the technical field of packaging cases intended to contain products which may be pre-assembled or not, as individual pieces or grouped together in several pieces. ' . .

For the purposes of the invention, temporary packaging means the possibility of reusing the packaging case throughout the period of use of the packaged product and, consequently, the possibility of closing and opening the case, thereby allowing access to the packaged product.

This type of construction results in the production costs of the packaging case increasing considerably.

According to the state of the art, another proposal is also known which can be called a case; ; in the manner of a "box" or "case", since it has ^a single interior space which of course delimits a body which houses at least one product, whether or not ready-made, but also an adjacent lid which is hinged to one of the sides of the body.,

&iacgr;&ogr; Such a proposal was envisaged in particular for the formation of cigarette packets which require sequential opening and closing.

The proposals put forward for the construction of such a "box" type case use a single pre-cut, grooved blank, which is characterised by the need for a relatively complex shape in view of the cutting pattern provided for the manufacture of such a blank. , .

Such cases also generally have a front wall and a wall for attaching the lid, which is formed by a separate element that must be firmly connected to the interior of the case.

Even if such a proposal may be considered generally satisfactory, the disadvantages are the not inconsiderable production costs and the fact that no pre-formed shape of the packaging case can be produced in the factory, suitable for being formed and delivered flat, in order to facilitate storage and transport between the place where the blanks are made and the places where the cases are packed.

The object of the invention is to eliminate these disadvantages by proposing a new packaging case which is characterized by the fact that a case in the form of a "box" can be formed at comparatively low production costs, which has an attachable adjacent lid and which can be pre-formed in a flat delivery during production and only needs to be opened and finally formed after the items have been loaded. ..',.■

According to a further constructive arrangement, the blank in part I has a line 35 with lower mechanical resistance, which is formed, for example, by an incision leaving webs 36. This line 35 comprises a first part 37 which is formed in the first main wall part 7 and runs at a distance D parallel to the fold line 10 between this wall part 7 and the cover 12. The distance D is in any case smaller than the height h of the part II.

The line 35 also has two parts 38 which run in the secondary wall parts 6 and 8.

Finally, the blank also includes in its part I a line 39, referred to as an opposite fold, which is formed at a distance d parallel to the free transverse edge 22. The distance d is preferably smaller than the distance D. .. . , . '

According to a constructive arrangement, the line 38 of the secondary wall part 8 is so pronounced that it connects the part 37 and the line 39 and consequently runs obliquely across the width of the wall part 8. The part 38 of the wall part 6 has the same inclination, but in the opposite direction, as the part 38 of the wall part 8.

Finally, the blank 1 comprises in its part I, in particular in the strip 24, a tear line starting from the free transverse edge 22, for example in the same way as the line 35, which is identified overall by the reference numeral 40 .25 and comprises a first part 41 partially delimiting the lateral fold 28 and a second part 42 which has the same slope as the line 38 of the wall part 6 and connects the first part 41 to the oppositely extending fold 39. . ,

As shown in Fig. 2, first the fold lines 2, 3, 4 and then the lines 5, 25a and 25b are folded in such a way that the formation of a uniformly prism-shaped circumferential envelope 50 is started through the wall parts 6 to 9.

Then the extension is folded in the direction of the arrow ^, particularly at the fold line 25b, in order to place this extension between the wall parts 6 and 8

so that the side fold 27 is on the inside of the secondary wall part 8 and the fold 28 as well as the strip 24 are on the inside of the secondary wall part 6. As shown in Fig. 3, the front wall or the front side 26 runs at this stage on the inside of the front 'main wall part

At this stage, a firm connection occurs between the strip 24, the folds 27 and 28 and the inner sides of the secondary wall parts 6 and 8, thereby forming a peripheral envelope 50 as shown in Fig. 3s. The firm connection between the folds and the wall parts can be made by stapling or, preferably, by gluing.

To better understand this particular stage, the envelope 50 is shown in Fig. 3 with one of the flaps 20, the cover 12 and the tab 16 omitted.

Looking at Fig. 3, it can be seen that in this folding stage, the individual folding steps produce a pre-formed shape P which is characterized in that it can be flattened, for example by folding lines 2 and 4 more intensively, so that, as shown in Fig. 4, the wall parts 6 and 9 on the one hand and the wall parts 7 and 8 on the other hand are arranged in two abutting, parallel planes. This flattening is made possible by the presence of the folding lines 25a and 25b. In this way, pre-assembly or pre-forming can be carried out in the factory, so that cases are obtained which can be delivered pre-formed, stackable, storable and can be transported flat from the production site of the blanks to the site of the final shaping and assembly of the cases. ^;

: After assembly on site and independently of the formation, in a known manner, of the lower face which closes the lower transverse end of the peripheral envelope 50 by means of the flaps 21, the cover 13 and the tab 17, the lines 18 are folded over to fold the flaps 20 in a direction facing each other into the open cross-section of the envelope 50 (Fig. 5). The fold line 14 is then folded over to fold the tab 16, then the line 10 to enable the cover 12 to be folded over in the direction of the arrow f _2. -

In this way, the tab 16 is inserted in a conventional and usual manner behind the free transverse edge 22 of the second rear main wall part 9.

The case now has the shape shown in Fig. 6 and it will be noted that the closed top has, starting from the front of the first main wall part 7, the line 35 of lower resistance formed by the part 37 and the parts 38. .

In this state, when the top side formed by the cover 12 is first intentionally opened, the line 35 is severed by the user by breaking the webs 36, thereby causing the top side to be raised and pivoted in the direction of the arrow f ₃ &iacgr;&ogr; by folding it over at the fold line 39, so that the corresponding opened cross-section of the circumferential cover 50, as shown in Fig. 7 , appears. ■.-'·".

Looking at this figure, it can be seen that the upper face is in the form of an adjacent, clip-on lid 60, like that of "box" type packaging or even of the cigarette packet type, while this lid is initially formed in the usual way simply by at least the flap 12 and the tab 16. . ■

: Opening the lid 60 causes the severing of the parts 41 and 42 which delimit a part 24a which remains firmly connected to the severed part of the wall part 6 so that the snap-on lid remains intact.

In the state shown in Fig. 7, by pivoting and opening the attachable cover in the direction of arrow f ₃ , the reinforcing extension II becomes visible, the front or front wall 26 of which rises above the edge 61 which the front main wall part 7 has as a result of the severing of the line 37. .

This wall 26 forms an insertion wall for guiding the attachable lid 60, ,30 when closing. The existing -; folds 25b and 25a also have a similar function. The connection between the wall 26 and the lateral folds 27 and 28, which rise above the tear line 35, forms a kind of open collar for attaching the lid 60. :

Based on Fig. 7, it should be noted that by opening the attachable cover, the cutout 30 worked into the wall 26 is completely released, so that the interior space delimited by the peripheral shell 50 can be accessed.

The eventual closing of the snap-on cover .60 is carried out in the opposite direction of the arrow f ₃ , so that the reinforcement extension is inserted, which holds the cover 60 by means of a friction effect, which is further reinforced by the tabs 32, which are created as a result of the cuts 31 when folding the lines 25a and 25b. · ■

The invention is not limited to the example described and illustrated, since various changes can be made without departing from the spirit of the invention.

Claims (8)

1. Pre-cut and grooved blank comprising fold lines ( 2 to 5 ) successively delimiting two main wall parts ( 7 and 9 ) and two secondary wall parts ( 6 and 8 ), and comprising at least flaps ( 20 , 21 ), folds ( 12 ; 13 ) and tabs ( 16 , 17 ) extending at least some of the wall parts to form, by folding, a top and a bottom for closing a peripheral envelope ( 50 ) formed by folding the wall parts, characterized in that - the top is formed by a flap ( 12 ) and flap ( 16 ) assembly extending the main wall part ( 7 ) intended to form the front of the case, - a line of lower resistance ( 35 ) is formed in said main wall part at a distance from the fold line ( 10 ) of the cover and in the adjacent secondary wall parts ( 6 and 8 ), - a fold line ( 39 ) in the second main wall part ( 9 ) is recessed from its free transverse edge ( 22 ), - a reinforcing extension (II) with one of its sides substantially in line with the free edge of the second main wall part and the fold line between the first main wall part and the cover at the side of the blank, - the extension (II) has, in a fold ( 28 ) adjacent to the blank, a line of lower resistance ( 40 ) comprising a first part ( 41 ) parallel to the fold line delimiting this fold and a second part ( 42 ) connecting the first part to the fold line ( 39 ) formed in the second main wall part. 2. Blank according to claim 1, characterized in that the reinforcing extension (II) extends from a connecting strip ( 24 ) which delimits the second main wall part ( 9 ). 3. Blank according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the reinforcing extension (II) comprises two parallel fold lines ( 25 a and 25 b) which delimit an insertion wall ( 26 ) and two lateral folds ( 27 and 28 ). 4. Blank according to claim 3, characterized in that one of the insertion recesses adjoins the connecting strip. 5. Blank according to claim 1, 2 or 3, characterized in that the extension (II) comprises, from its edge ( 29 ), which lies essentially in line with the free transverse edge ( 22 ) of the second main wall part ( 9 ), a cutout ( 30 ) and two incisions ( 31 ) in the fold lines ( 25a and 25b ) delimiting the lateral folds. 6. Blank according to claim 1, characterized in that the line of lower resistance ( 35 ) comprises a tear line which is formed in the first main wall part ( 7 ) at a distance (D) from the fold line ( 10 ) between this wall part and the cover, and two tear lines ( 38 ) formed in the adjacent secondary wall parts ( 6 and 8 ), one of which adjoins the fold line ( 39 ) formed in the second main wall part ( 9 ). 7. Blank according to claim 6, characterized in that the tear line ( 37 ) of the first main wall part is formed at a distance (D) from the fold line ( 10 ) of the cover which is greater than the distance (d) between the free transverse edge ( 22 ) of the second main wall part and the fold line ( 39 ) of this wall part. 8. Blank according to claim 1, 2, 3, 6 or 7, characterized in that the reinforcing extension (II) has a height (h) which is greater than the distance (D).
