Es handelt sich um eine Schicht, die entsprechend des Materials in der Dicke variieren kann, ohne die Homogenität zu verlieren. Dabei können auf der Vorderseite — bei der Herstellung in einem Arbeitsgang — z. B. mehrfarbige Drucke erfolgen. Auch ist die Geschwindigkeit der Herstellung der Sperrschicht mit Hilfe des erwähnten Druckverfahren höher als bei den bisher bekannten Verfahren.
