Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft einen Schutzstiefel, der vornehmlich für Feuerwehrleute, aber auch für verwandte Berufsgruppen und ähnliche Einsätze vorgesehen ist. Jedoch im Ristbereich wird erfindungsgemäß ein textiler Einsatz oder eine Dehnfalte aus einem besonderen Gewirke oder Gewebe vorgesehen, was die Schlupffahigkeit, die Passform und den dadurch besseren Tragkomfort erheblich verbessert. Um die Dichtheit zu gewährleisten - wie sie das Leder bedingt hat -, muss das eingesetzte Material der Dehnfalte mit einer elastischen Beschichtung, wie Polyurethan, Silikon, oder Kunststoff, beschichtet werden. Claims
